Question:What happens if someone scams?

Okay so for EXAMPLE, if i sell my account to someone for paypal (payment was "payment money sent". How can it get traced back to me? Just curious since i dont know what is true. Not trying to scam

 

Well if i understood right your question, then the sender knows your email adress + after he sends a payment he can see your first name and last name of paypal account... unless it is under a fake name and surname

 

Yeah but can the scammer get in trouble, i mean being real about it the buyer has to open a dispute correct?

Paypal disputes have gotten more difficult to avoid these sorts of scams. Before you could just dispute transaction on unauthorized claim, and the money would be instantly refunded. Now you actually have to prove that you were hacked etc.

If someone scams you on sythe, they get permanently banned.

 

On sythe, scammer gets banned. On paypal, it is up to them to who the dispute claim goes to, provided evidence (but they tend to lean on buyer's side somewhat).

 

If you're selling virtual goods (i.e., your account) to someone via paypal, you're going to lose that dispute if he charges back the payment. Paypal doesn't support virtual trading, so you're at a loss. What did you mean by "traced back to me?" Maybe just rephrasing your question might help.

 

From what I heard, it doesn't work like that anymore. Paypal actually investigates the dispute.

 

Well their "investigating" is pretty damn shitty.. Even if you have VERY solid proof, you most likely still lose.

They don't allow unauthorized transaction disputes if they see that you made the transaction and dispute from the same computer/ip/location. I agree with you though, virtual goods don't mean crap to paypal :|

 

That is it. yay scammer gets banned off website but no one refunds you what you lost.

Why I stick to using Playerauctions. if a kid scams you then youll get that money back
