i am the sheltered spoiled rich kid in my group of three that all work with me and went to college with me and they both make more than I do (slightly and one has extra years under his belt and has had raises). The tech sector is very skills oriented and will pay basically everyone a fuck ton if you are good

 

australian mines pay a metric fuck ton to their workers.... but they have to work a very dangerous shitty job in literally the middle of fucking no where not remotely close to anything but the mine. few people want to do that so they have to pay 200k to people to get them to want to. most people care more about other things than money.

but honestly who the fuck cares. since i got a signing bonus for my new job i have like 12k in the bank. i have no need for 12k in the god damn bank. so last night i donated to the eff, ucla, wamc, and bought a goat for heifer international. i've already budgeted for next month and thrown a bunch of money into emergency accounts and i still have a fuck ton left over. honestly at this point all i'm getting from my money is security and the ability to save for retirement. those things are worth it but i don't think i could spend 12k on shit unless i bought a new car or something and why the fuck would i do that? solution, cut the materialism bullshit, budget well, work hard, save a lot, retire at 45.

 

how much are taxes there anyway? i don't have ynab on my work computer so i can't check what my total rate is right now

First of all I'm not bragging about how much money I make I'm just comparing it to the minimum wage because believe or not more then 50% work for minimum wage... Not everyone can fucking pay 30,000 dollars a year for College.

Secondly I live in Toronto Ontario I get paid in Canadian dollars not ruples or pesos dumb ass Canadians live far better life style's then Americans it's proven fact.

Thirdly I'm 22 years old If anyone here is making double, triple, or what ever amount more then me good for them...

Like I said before I don't want a Ferrari as my car I don't want the lifestyle of a millionaire I'm totally happy living a normal life marrying a normal wife who isn't after my money.
