What kind of mental calander do you have?

Picture a calendar in your mind. How does it look when you view the whole year?

I've always seen mine as a horizontally stretched oval with June at the top, December at the bottom going clockwise. I've guessed this is because summer starts in June for the school year and summer passes quicker than winter so there are more on the right side and less on the left because they go by slower.

Some people say they picture it anticlockwise, colour ordered, birthday month at the start or something totally random.

It's both weird and interesting to me how everyone sees it differently and why they think they see it that way.

 

I actually just have a flat timeline. January being the beginning of the timeline and December being at the end. Whenever I have an event or something of some sort in the future, I just mentally place it roughly where it would be on the line.

 

See I visualise myself as if Im standing on the current month looking towards the date I have whatever on, haha

i just have the four seasons group together in my mind.

nov/dec/jan/feb - i see these months as winter. hate them
mar, apr - spring months, not really a huge fan of them either, however it signifies winter is over and everything starts getting warm again so im down
may/june/july/august - summer. love every fucking second of these months. even the worst summer days are better than the best winter days
sept/oct - fall. at least my city looks pretty this time of year

 

I view it in the shape of a wristwatch band... so like current month is the face of the watch, subsequent ones are below it etc., kind of like this. I view 6 months away as being near the watch clasp and think of it in 3d as well. Interesting thread actually

 

Linear, and in chunks of 4 months because of school.
So, a chunk between January and April, one between May and August, and the last between September and December.

 

don't have a calendar, i just keep track of the 365 days, and dont worry about the month.

I've heard of this before. I can't visualize things very well. I picture a single month with just the lines no numbers or month names. If I try visualize all of the months they're just blank pages.

Some people can't visualize at all others can see things in perfect detail.

 

Interesting topic, for me my minds a bit blank when it comes to this. I think back to last summer for instance and think, Was I really like this? Did I really do this or that? I tend to forget the date often though, that's probably a likely explanation
