edit: I don't think that rs3 f2p+bonds really boosted anything...maybe 07 will be more effective. Also I feel like if this fails, then rs has no chance of being revived lol

Yeah tbh as long as if it significantly increased amount of players, then I think its worth a shot. Better to gown down trying with jagex. Who knows, maybe 07 will become popular again--they just need to do a lot of advertising/marketing which they suck at. I'd love to play with more new players and such, doubt it'll happen though

 

he even said on stream that with the increase of membership they plan on increasing the advertisement and marketing for oldschool. Something that is going to be HIGHLY necessary with the return of free f2p. Get back the REAL oldies to reminisce the old times

I said this on another thread and I'll say it again, it's a good idea for Jagex as a business and the community itself to bring about membership bonds. This way, more players come in and Jagex makes more money. Everyone who's complaining about micro transactions and stuff are forgetting to realize that if we don't bring in new updates, including a fully f2p server on 07, the game will die.

This way, the members pay a little more and the userbase grows, in hopes that those f2pers will soon enough buy membership.

I'm actually happy that bonds are coming into oldschool, was quite annoying getting on to rs3 just to buy one.

I personally don't mind free f2p and bond. I think they'll both increase the rs07 playerbase.

 

Thoughts on this.

Great idea supporting Jagex 100% for this, everything will be more convenient if they implement 07 bonds and F2P, I really don't see how this can go wrong honestly.

 

traditional f2p and 07 bonds seem intuitive and should have been implemented a long time ago.

 

I wonder what limitation they'll put in to prevent botting though. There's gotta be a difference between limiting it and really making it not fun for anyone playing f2p

 

Any idea, when f2p is coming?
