How can I fix this issue?

So my issue is right now, is that when multiple people use the internet at once, my home internet slows down. Basically, if someone is downloading my internet goes slow and I can't game for shit. If someone is uploading, internet is basically useless. Even if someone loads youtube, my gaming ping sky rockets to unplayable and shit.

How can I make this better? Would buying a new router/modem do the job? (I have a really shitty one). Or does the problem reside with my ISP?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's probably your ISP (sounds like your getting throttled or reduced bandwidth). What is your current up/down rate? 'And are you hard-wired or wireless?

Give us your testmy.net results so we can start diagnosis there. That provides (true) up/down speeds.

How can I fix this issue?

    Wired. Doesn't make a difference.

I'll do this once I am home. (2 days).

How can I fix this issue?

I've tested it using both wired and wireless connection from my PC and same issue regardless. I honestly think something wrong with the modem.

How can I fix this issue?

Could be something simple like your router being stuck in the corner/floor level?

How can I fix this issue?

Are you stating it's an issue with the range of the wireless router? Because that is not an issue as I get almost full connection wireless around the house. I'm probably going to call a technician and see if he can fix it. Australia is known for throttling bandwith, but only when you're over your quota.
