Parallax the Background

It would add a very nice visual effect (and boost engagement) to the site if everything moved and the background didn't.

With the image as is, it would be like floating in space.

 

It would get annoying, and give nausea to those who suffer from motion sickness.

 

It's fine as is. Inb4 you suggest another [random thing the site doesn't need or want] thread.

 

It's a preference some people have, but it would probably be beneficial to a lot of people.

 

What is the benefit of parallax? It's all aesthetic. What would be beneficial is a decent mobile implementation. There should be a focus on stuff that is going to be functionally beneficial over aesthetically pleasing.

 

Well aesthetically pleasing things appeal to some people, maybe I should of said preferable.

Rich is working on the mobile theme AFAIK

 

I prefer it as is, personally. This isn't really a high priority.

 

I'd love it, I guess you could have an option in the left corner or something to either enable/disable the effect. I'm all in.

 

It would be nice if your company was a real website development company.

It shouldn't be hard to set it as a background option if users make it clear that they'd like it...

 

I wouldn't use it because I have mild motion sickness. If it were a quick job and were optional, I guess that would be okay.
