Are you able to make the output in html be seen as it would here? It's a useful tool nonetheless.

 

Yeah, I had that in mind. Essentially I'd just save all that output in a text file, access a site like that, copy/paste the text file there, hit enter, and save the link. I'll try it tonight. I also think it would be cool if all that could happen automatically so that the output could be updated every x hours whether I'm around or not.

 

Any way to remove false reports from this?

 

False reports as in what exactly? Like ones where the end result isn't a ban/twc? I guess I could check the last post of each thread, and if it doesn't include "done, banned, hammered," etc., remove it? Or just put it in a different section or something. I can look into it but it might be hard since it'd be text-analysis based.

 

I see the end result being a simple database program with a simple web/desktop gui.

Currently we could scrape/enter whatever data we have, in the future it'd be really helpful if each report was imputed as a web form instead of a regular thread. That way we could pull the data directly off of the saved forms that result in a ban.

You could look up any number of things (Skypes, sythe names, ip hashes, etc) and come up with a person and see any resolved/unresolved reports/banned profiles, etc.

I've thought of this for a while, I'm willing to fund/program.

 

Idk if it's really worth the effort though. If you want to undertake it, sure, but it sounds like a lot more work than I've put in lol.

 

Making a banned user tool has been discussed forever, just no one has done it right.

 

I can get things to work in plaintext or html (see first post). Lmk what else you'd want.

Got it to output in html in my locally saved text file, and when formatted with the site you posted, it comes out like it does in the updated code in the op. Will work on getting it to upload automatically maybe. At the very least, it's at a "I can put this in a pastebin" right now, which is good.

Why? If you google "site:sythe.org [ip number here]," you'll get taken right to the thread anyway. The information is already public, and to be clear, it'll only show the ips posted in rasc threads, not everyone's ip. So like if I report a vader with [given ip], it'll grab that but nothing else.

Its not much hassle to check a report and see if it was successful or not so that's not really an issue (it could cause problems if you removed certain threads in that some reports resulting in bans are closed with different words).

 

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Some also with images, or even negatives i.e. "Not enough to be banned" - gonna leave it as is for now. But still happy to make changes, even/especially if they're cosmetic.

 

Okay, my problem now is that there's too much text to upload anywhere. In the formatted html version, I have a text file with around 1.7m lines. Any advice? :/

You should make a form for this.
There are enough methods to import data then put it in a nice form like here on sythe:

heck even if you want you make your search function in it to search for skype names or sythe username or emails.
Or even better make skype/email be picked out so when you click it it will search for similair skypes/emails in past ban reports.

So much things you can do.
What you have now is raw output, anyone can do that. ( not meant to be rude! it is just a critical opinion! )

Just play around with php, everything can made very easy for this. just costs some time
