Vote No to GE [REMEMBER MERCH CLANS?!?]

Please everyone vote no to the GE, do you guys forget the merchant clans. Price manipulation was insane!

 

Going to copy this post, as it's completely relevant in the hopes people will read it.

Honestly half of the people that I've seen publicly saying that they support the GE do not really even have a knowledge of what they are supporting, and as shown here like to sporadically spurt out random possible benefits and try to somehow correlate them with the GE.

In reality the antithesis of 90% of the alleged benefits are true lol, and no one ever seems to take into consideration how the GE will invariably devalue work put into MOST skills, though not all. :/

I honestly feel pretty sad that it looks as if it may pass. No one is looking at the long term effects just simply voting in the mindset "The GE means I get my items faster!!!!! Trading is easier!!!! VOTE YES FOR GE!"...

I feel as if a lot of the community is unaware of the long term effects the GE may incur on the game itself... ://

 

I myself support the ge coming back as it allows players to get items faster. You have to understand there will always be two sides to this and that some players just play the game for fun and having a way to get their essentials more conveniently just allows gameplay to be more easy and fun

 

I understand your side, but you also have to understand that the entrenchment of the GE will invariably allow for facilitation of exp gain in the long run and will devalue training skills. The easier we make OSRS the more Rs3-esque it becomes. This is why I am leaning towards being against the GE myself, because I want skills to be valued and coveted as they were in the old days of RS (pre-GE) and not have loads of players with level 80+ in all stats like it is in Rs3.

I support the decision to reincorporate the GE into osrs aswell.

I'm not a hardcore player, nor do I care about how merch clans will manipulate prices. (This can already be done btw, just not as easily.)
To me, skills don't hold any real value, training them is a grind. I bot most skills, so if they were devalued, I wouldn't really care.
The idea of making osrs as annoying to play as possible just to inflate the value of skills baffles me.
The grand exchange would let me do what I want to, and avoid having to hunt for items.

Not everyone has as much time as you(I'm not targeting you specifically), some people just want to play for 20 or 30 mins, have fun, then leave.
But that's just my 2 cents.

Since you bot your skills you're account doesn't feel like it has any value to you to be honest. To each their own, but when you actually put your own time into the game instead of just logging in using the GE then going back to botting, then your opinion would matter a bit more to me personally lol.

People do merch without clans, but merch clans price manipulate and it just makes the botting community have more of an impact now.

 

So why not manipulate the market with them?

 

I don't like how they make an item go up 200% then drop it to low 100% lower than it's original value. Controlling the market like that shouldn't be allowed.

As long as they ban merch clans i'll be able to live with playing still.

Let people make their own decision. Saying 'REMEMBER MERCH CLANS!??!' isn't changing anyones mind.

GE is needed in oldschool, this trading post is sooo shit..

 

It doesn't matter to me how I get the items to train my skills it will take the same amount of time to train them. Y'all act like it's going to make skills so much easier to train when in reality it's the exact same training time, just makes it a little faster to get the items. Btw 76% boys, lets get GE in to osrs.
