Need Help Choosing a Computer Please.

I am in need of help choosing a computer to buy off of amazon.

    My budget is currently $500-$750.

I want a computer that can run games and anything else I need smoothly.

I DO NOT WANT A PIECE OF JUNK THAT LASTS 2 YEARS!

I want something where i take it out of the box, plug in my cords and fire it up.

I would also prefer windows 7, and it MUST(stressing) be a well built computer/gaming computer.

I have 100 mb/s internet but my current computer has 1.5 gbs of ram which makes everything lag like eoc/07/ikov etc.

    Help please :p.

    What I have:
    -Monitor
    -Keyboard
    -Mouse

    All Brand new.

For your budget, you will have to update something in a few years probably. But, do you have Intel or Amd preferences? And do you have a monitor already?

Well, I'm on Amazon, and I've filtered to "Windows 7", "New", "4 stars and up" and "500-750" price range. Honestly, I would't recommend any of them. Is buying from Amazon a MUST?

I would not recommend this one, my 5 year old pc has better gpu than that. Most newer ones will come with Windows 8 not 7, but eitherway Windows 8 has better performance.

I just looked real quick and this one seems pretty good for your budget.

Why do you want it pre built? Making a custom computer for $750 would get you something decent. There are lots of YouTube videos about assembling a computer.

I honestly don't recommend AMD at all. But, that is a better choice, however it would need an upgrade soon also. I would either buy a subpar one as cheap as I could, or like I said, save up more.

Building isn't as hard as you think it may be. Doing so you could get a much better rig for your money.

All I see in your post is "I want, I want, I want" but reality is "it won't happen, It won't happen, It won't happen"

at $500-750, I hate to burst your bubble but you will NOT be able to buy a pre-built computer that is worth gaming on, and especially not one that will be good for longer than two years. Sorry, but I simply can't help you with that. That budget will get you entry level components if you are buying a pre-built from an OEM. Components that are not expandable whatsoever unless you replace everything.

Now, If you want to man up and build your own (it's not hard, my wife could do it so don't discredit yourself) then you can build a nice rig for around 750 that WILL suit your needs and fulfill all those "wants" that you have. It will take only about 2 hours of your time and you'll be ready to go. Plus, you'll feel much more educated and accomplished. We're here to help if you wanna go this route. But as for pre-built rigs on impossible budgets.... I'm out(shark tank style)

I know you want a pre-built machine but honestly I wouldn't recommend buying one prebuilt.
They're a waste of time and are built to break.
    Build you're own.
Its fairly straight forward, the hardest bit is the wiring to the motherboard.

Cheaper and more reliable, too. :)

I just built my own computer with some help from SASRT8 and a lot of online reading. It wasn't really that bad bro, you should really consider it

All i can say is, This is what a $750 PC should look like.

    CPU: Intel i5-3330
    Motherboard: Cheapest H77 or Z75
GPU: Radeon HD 7850 (currently better value than the nvidia counterpart, but if you want nvidia, get 660ti)
PSU: Get any 80+ certified 500W
Memory: 8 gb, any brand will do if you are not overclocking ram

Just configure it yourself. For reference, I just built one for the small sum of AU$554 (about US$455) which can play most of the games I'm interested in at maximum or near maximum settings, with the following components:

    (prices in AUD)
    Thermaltake Versa H23 Mid Tower w/ 500W PSU included - $77
    Asrock H81M socket 1150 motherboard - $65
    Intel Core i3 4160 @ 3.60 GHz - $140
    eVGA GeForce GTX750 - $140
    Crucial DDR3 4GB 1600MHz RAM - $45
Cooler Master Hyper 103 CPU Cooler - $25
    Western Digital Green 1TB 7200RPM - $65

    ---
I do plan to upgrade the amount of RAM pretty soon, and perhaps the CPU at some point once I have the cash, but you don't need to spend all that much nowadays for something that can thrash out most of the games you want to play

Edit: Just a note, my computer also runs very cool, considering the temperatures in Australia at the moment. I was playing it on max settings in Skyrim at about 35 celsius room temperature and it didn't go above 50 degrees in the whole 3 hours I was playing - it was actually sitting at low to mid 40s. If you have room in your budget definitely get an aftermarket CPU cooler - even a cheap one like mine - as they do make the difference. Computers running at hot temperatures tend not to run so well.

The above setup is actually very nice! All i would suggest is to buy that 8GB of RAM. Without this you will be unable to play future games.

Yeah I was planning on buying another 8GB when I have the cash. I was more focusing on getting a working computer on a budget, kitting myself out with peripherals, then future proofing it later when more cash comes in. That way I haven't had to sacrifice my user experience as at the moment 4GB tends to be enough for MOST things.

Edit: I feel I need to address something the OP seems to not understand.

Technology is not at a standstill. You can't just buy a computer and have it be up to date and futureproof for an indefinite period. If that were the case, it'd be excellent for us consumers because we'd only have to buy new computers once they broke - which happens anyway, I might add.

Rather, technology is in constant flux. You can bet your bottom dollar that when nVidia released their GeForce 500 series, they were probably already working on technology to be included in the 600, 700, 800 or even 900 series. Tech is like that. You only buy the very top end future proof stuff if you have a LOT of money to throw away; there is no way possible to get it on a budget except by extremely good luck and/or theft.

The "current" top-end, future-proof hardware is mostly for stroking the egos of people that can afford it. Bragging rights only. I had a cheaper budget than you've presented and I've built something that works. But if you want truly futureproof, you have two options:

    1) Land a high paying job so you can buy that top-end hardware, which you'll have to replace in a few years anyway
    2) Spend a modest amount on a small budget on slightly lesser parts that cost several times less, and replace them roughly within the same period anyway.

Case in point: When the nVidia GeForce 8800GTX card was released, it was selling for AU$1000. For ONE graphics card. Now, a mere few years on, it is absolutely worthless. I don't even think it's being made any more.

A working gaming computer is a long-term investment. If you don't upgrade it over time it will fall in to disrepair and uselessness, so your best bet at futureproofing is to learn to build a computer yourself so you can just replace your parts as you need them - and save a lot of money in the process.
