Car Mod Decision (Contest)

It's my birthday in a few days and want to get a few inexpensive or one expensive car mod.

Things I'm currently interested in-
-Rims
-Exhaust Parts
-Mufflers
-Paint jobs (for car or any part)
-Window Tints
-Anyway to make my car louder

My current car- 2014 Scion tc (w/leather seats + sunroof)

Please try to keep the mods sane not like pure gold rims.

Get a big boar exhaust and your car will sound loud as fuck

 

Green Rims/ Muffler - Black exterior paintjob with parts green = Swag

 

Keep your car black... honestly I'd wait till you're a little older so you don't ruin the expensive car you were given by making it look silly.

A tasteful exhaust system (not a fart can or anything huge) does definitely improve the sound of the car.

If you're going to go rims make sure you make a smart decision and really research what you want. You can get really nice things but if you just go ahead and buy the first rims you see you'll hate yourself later. I prefer a nice wide rim with some offset because flat rims look gay af.

Green lugnuts would look decent with a black car but I wouldn't go all green rims just yet that's big boy stuff when you have the rest of your color scheme planned. Make sure you get the proper pitch lug nut for your car.

Window tints-- Kind of self explanatory they either look good on a car or they don't

Loudness- Think about how loud you truly want your car. I'm all for "Racecar" status but fast cars are loud because they have to be to pump out that much power not because some kid is pretending that his car is fast.

Painting the exterior of a car is always a horrible idea. The factory paint is baked on and is laid better than any painter will do in your area for under 5k I can assure you that.

 

What kind of mufflers would you guys recommend for my car? Also, would a larger spoiler look nice?

Yeah, thats bullshit. You don't know what "a painter in your(his) area" can do or will charge. I personally know two FANTASTIC painters who do quality work and for far less than 5k.

If they do not bake on the paint it is not the same quality as OEM and thus you wouldn't want to replace a 2014 baked on black paint job with anything at this point but hey it's his car.

 

Can't you sand it off?.. also I wouldn't paint the whole car. Just a design or something.

 

Yeah but unfortunately unless you bake the next layer of paint on it doesn't cure the same as factory paint. I would recommend maybe looking into wrapping your car with a design. Less permanent, cheaper and a good project for you to get into cars. If you wanna talk cars you can add my skype if you'd like

Done properly it shouldn't There's a lot of online videos regarding it. Mighty car mods had a video on it. I'm wrapping a small portion of my girlfriends car in the spring so I could show you then assuming your winter is as shit as mine

 

My winter is probably shittier, but I'd pay someone to wrap it. I'd probably break my car somehow.

 

It was -44C yesterday and I've had snow since October and will have snow till April haha also paying somebody to do a nice design would be cool and always being able to revert back is nice because as people age their opinions change of course and with that new of a car you'll be 25 ish atleast before you're really needing a new one.

 

I'd just go with some nice rims and tires.

Never was a fan of the crazy decals and all that.
