What does it take to become trusted?

I am engulfed with rage at the moment because I am trying to sell my lv 122 07 rs account. Everyone I have talked to states that I am not trusted. I only have a few vouches and the thing that makes me mad is the fact that i've been scammed 3 times for amounts over $200 each time. These people didn't even vouch for me. If the fact that you buy rsgp for cheap or stake it and sell it to members makes you trusted, how can someone like myself obtain this major trust? I see members that are "highly trusted" (gold sellers) selling accounts for 3x the amount of mine, and the account is 3x worse than mine. Basically I am raging, but I would like to know. Is the only way to be "highly trusted" is to become a gold seller?

 

Well it's the easiest way for some people (in the sense that they rack up several vouches in a short period of time). Trust isn't entirely a matter of vouches, fun ranks, miniranks, or donations, it's community-based as well. There are a million threads on how to become more trusted - go take a look at those. Maybe pop over to one of the discussion forums if you can't find everything you need here. The most important thing is patience. Most account sales take upwards of 2-3 weeks, in my experience at least.

 

Trust dosent solely count on trades or donating. It's a state of mind about how you view your business and how other people view it.

I have went first in trades with people with under 50 vouches and I have had moderators with over 1k vouches go first to me in trades.

In your case, you've been around long enough, but it's a combination of vouches, time, and investment. It's silly, but people trust you more if you've got 100+ vouches from little trades. They'll also put more faith in you if you're a donor (ie he invested $100 in his account so he's unlikely to scam $50).

Obviously you're probably just trying to sell one account and be done with RS. I'd advise you to be as transparent as possible. Be willing to exchange phone numbers, etc with your buyer in case there are any issues. Advertise that you're willing to do that on your thread and you may have more luck.

 

If you really could not get through, I suggest try getting a Middleman to sell your account(this is replying to the part where you're trying to sell an account).

You gotta start small everytime/somewhere everytime. Everyone have gone through that phase before, it'll take time and dedication.

Also, if you don't plan to scam(which I don't think you are), like what Nick said, offer them your real phone number, anything that could make them be assured that you are not a scammer. The more you are open to them and more willing, the more faith and trust you'll get. Just my 2cents.

 

It's quite hard, especially when you have others donating and sitting with vouches left and right. I'd recommend getting someone else (a middleman as stated above) to sell it for you, if that looks like a viable option to you. Or you could just keep bumping and lowering prices, hopefully you'll find something.

Building up trust takes time. Its better to have a few good vouches than many crappy ones. If you are unable to gain trust in the time you want to sell your account, just simply provide the buyer with every single info and reassume them to your best ability.

 

It's your reputation. You build up via vouches, community involvement, and other factors. Donations are also seen as trust (I don't see it as that) but makes buyers feel at ease.

 

Accumulate vouches, remain active for a long period of time, become an active member of the community. People will always pay more for something they believe is more reliable.

 

Get trusted by one - Earning vouches/be active on sythe

also start up a buisness on sythe that's how most people get trusted because they deal with big cash.

People who are trusted on sythe when selling Rs accounts are good, the higher they are trusted the better, I know people here on sythe that wouldn't risk 1000$ To lose there reputation because it has taken them so far to get to the position where they want to be.
