Sythe User Centre Link in Navigation Bar

I feel like adding User Centre to the Nav bar would be a handy addition, instead of having to go to the homepage and into it.

So when you pressed the 'User Centre' button in the navigation bar it would redirect you to http://sythe.org/usercenter/



I was thinking of having the link inbetween either Sythe and User CP or User CP and FAQ.

Advantages:

Could help bring donations to the site, it'll be one of the first things people will notice, they will check it and see all the perks they will receive for donating.

Disadvantages:

Not necessary?
Not used enough?

Thoughts/comments? :love:

 

Considering that you don't go on User Centre everyday I don't think this is needed just to make it 1 less click. Even if you went in there everyday, still 1 more click doesn't really make a difference lol.

Its one more click, its not something thats used very often (except right after you donate)

I just think that the nav bar is so empty atm, and could use filling up with things like this.

And most usually if people have a question about donating they make a thread / talk to somebody on sythe about it.

You cant possibly argue that moving the usercenter onto the main bar with make THAT big of a difference; like users just randomly click through all the options on the top.

In my opinion it dosent seem empty.

What newcomer instantly heads to the Sythe Support Section in search of answers, I'd say less than 10%.

Its just a handy feature to add to the site; I'm sorry 2 extra words and a link is going to make a HUGE difference to your daily Sythe browsing.

I don't really think it's needed but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to add it. Isn't the user center the first link on the sythe home page anyway though?

 

It's not really necessary, but could it not take the place of the calendar? Because i'm sure like no-one actively uses the calendar. Would be far more useful.

 

I don't see anything wrong with the current layout. As for making an update, I don't think it would bring in donations more frequently as you're thinking (see below).

As it's always accessible on the homepage, making such a change should bring minimal results.

Now, I don't normally make assumptions, but if someone is looking to donate to Sythe they most likely know where to do it or find information regarding it.

 

Personally, no support for this. As its clear enough being the first section on home, like you said.
