Is there anyway to see who all liked a certain Facebook group?

For example this is what I am referring to as a Facebook group:
https://www.facebook.com/HarvardPress

Is there any way to convert this into a list of names of people that liked the group? I tried seeing if anything was in source of following page but couldn't see anything:
https://www.facebook.com/HarvardPress/likes

Is it even possible?

 

Of course it's possible; it's referred to as "data-mining", and there are many frameworks available to allow you to mine for the info you need. There are also programming languages dedicated to data-mining, such as R. In fact, I came across a guide a while aho that does something similar to this in R.

 

Interesting. Thank you. And is this legal? I don't see how Facebook would have a problem with just trying to find out who "liked" a certain page, but just to make sure I'm sure "data mining" in other regards is now allowed such as company contact information.


EDIT: I've looked online and skimmed through a few textbooks and could not find anything that deals with getting likes from a fan page. There is stuff like determining top posts, frequent users, etc., but nothing on getting who liked the page. Are you sure it is possible? I don't see how seeing how they keep page likes hidden from non-admins of the page :S

Have you tried contacting Facebook themselves? Maybe they can help you out with this.

 

I don't think it is something they would really appreciate I think it is kind of a grey area thing. Basically I am seeing who liked competitors pages to add them and promote my own thing. Bump.

I don't think this is Legal, like Slimeychicken said this is called data-mining you need an official program to do this.

Could you make up some bullshit excuse and maybe get away with it? Say, for a school project or something?

What sort of market is it in?

 

It is for a social media I made lol.

 

I tried and couldn't find anything (but found a friend who likes HUP lol). Pretty sure you can only do this if you've created the page of interest.

 

Like Marbles said, they have to be on your friends list.
