Yousucks reports carry more weight?

Not in anyway is this thread aimed in a negative light towards YS, because what I think he does is great for the community.

However, there's been 2 occasions now in the last few weeks I've reported someone, it's not been enough for a ban, and they walk. Then however long later Yousuck does the exact same time and it merits a ban.

I understand the somewhat burden of dealing with a constant stream of vader and scam reports, and the pressures of dealing with them quickly, but can we not insta-lock threads, and maybe have more than 1 moderator acting as a primary definer in ALL cases. When the report could go either way, independent of the accused reputation (I believe more prominent members here don't get the 1 line hammer as often as those who are not), could it be left unlocked with another opinion required?

Yousuck's is a carbon cut out of mine without the addition of links. Demoralising to say the least.

 

From what I saw it had to do with the individual moderator handling the report.

Drento is a good moderator, But I think he made the wrong decision call on this one, and obviously blackswan was banned in the end result so its fine.

I mean the guy has the exact same name with a few more ssss' for christ sake.

 

It's just a different mod and how they see it at the time.

 

Mistakes happen. I will say this. If you're reporting a ban evader, it is extremely helpful if you can put a clear list of reasons like:

1. Matching IP's
2. Similar typing style
3. Activity in same market areas
4. Join date near ban date of previous account

Reports get denied pretty frequently for only having 1 of those above reasons, if you can make it clear that there are multiple similarities between the accounts then your report's gonna be much less likely to be wrongfully denied.

I'll also say that no one is giving more weight to this guy's reports, if anything I prioritize reports from active sythe members who aren't banned.

OP you are also welcome to pm me anytime you think a report of yours could use a second pair of eyes. We are all human, myself included

I think the two mods, one report idea is unnecessary; your two reports are a vast minority of cases, but the rest of your reports seem totally fine. The end result is that everyone mentioned has been banned, so it doesn't really matter whose report gets it done, imo at least.

Definitely noticed that my reports have been handled faster as my activity has increased; glad that you guys factor that in to some extent!

 

Vader reports are very subjective unfortunately
