Anti Vader Mods

I don't understand why you're saying you appreciate the moderators, as if I've said that I don't. I do appreciate them.

I am asking for a different type of Moderator to be implemented.

 

Again, another problem. But you gave possible suggestions, and I'd take more coming in with 2-3 leaving. You've got to keep staff updated or de-motivation becomes a factor

 

This is flawed because all mods deal with it. No need for a mod to specifically focus on RaS section. Just PM a mod to take a look at it.

 

I agree with a lot of the things said here. I honestly think that you guys should implement a feature that only allows you to post in a marketplace if you have been a member for at least 3 months. If you haven't then you can't post anything. This would lead to people being 1.) More trusted 2.) less likely to scam because they waited 3 months to even be able to sell anything 3.) would make the marketplace much more legit.

The other issue that this would eliminate are the infractions. There would be less infractions on people, besides for bumping because it wouldn't give scammer and vaders the ability to report posts, infract the person, and get the post removed.

Just my 2 cents.

 

People that evade bans for a "living" on Sythe do it very well. There are members we're aware are ban evading, but have done so for so long that it's impossible to ban them on intuition alone.

Practicing safe trading measures is the best form of prevention.

Mods, veteran users and CDT are always at work to report off-site scammers and ban evaders. The addition of mods for specific tasks (witch hunting, spam reports only, etc) is not, and will never be practical. Things are handled to the best of our capability.

 

I have. It's been 4 hours now. I don't expect Moderators to rush to this stuff, it's their own time. That's why I see this as a good idea.

 

Even with a RaS mod it will still take just as long.

Add staff members on facebook and stuff so you can just message them. no support.

 

Let's keep it on topic here or this thread will be swiftly cleaned up.

I don't see the need for a new moderator type, why give somebody only rasc rights when any sectional can do the same.
If your report is handled poorly or too slowly in your opinion, feel free to bug somebody who is online on skype or on Sythe.
I know I dont frequently check the rasc and ban evader section if it's been cleaned the same day, so I really don't mind a few pms per day extra

 

Come on lol that can't be a serious suggestion people want separation and it isn't a job (and that wouldn't be appropriate even if it was a paying job).

how is your post more important than the other ban evader reports?

 

I do see where you are coming from, personally I have seen so many vaders scam in the time that their report is pending (which can sometimes be more than a week). However, usually they are done in 1-2 days, and there are just too many flaws and risks associated with implementing something like this.

 

I nonimate DD (right after yousuck) for this position.

That's also the point i was trying to make.. it's a valid one. It's even worse when you point it out to others and the vaders have the power to give others infractions as well by reporting posts as spam.

 

All mods are anti-vader mods (i hope )
If Sythe needs more/less staff then changes will be made accordingly, this isn't really a valid suggestion.

 

That's easy to say, when yousuckv2 gets high he does 300 vader reports per week -,-

 

Just don't deal with newcomers and report it when you see a ban-vader...
It will be dealt with eventually.

IMO there need to be more active staff members, whether that means the current ones start doing more or more are promoted. There is an unacceptably long queue to get reports handled.

 

Sums it up perfectly. I think we may have more mods in the coming months, especially as the forum is redesigned, to suit new demands.

 

There is no need for a new specific "ban evader moderator". The sectionals, globals, and admins are perfectly capable of handling these kinds of reports.

If anything, there will just be more sectional promotions if there is a need.
