Scammer posting/saying his paypal address: He didn't. Although he confirmed that the chargeback and incident do exist in the pictures above.

This is the person who tricked him into providing his government issued ID to used his payment to collect the gold.

I was approached by the Sythe account in the above link about a 750m Rs3 purchase. I asked him for government issued ID and we agreed on an amount. The ID checked out with the PayPal. I paid the person who was able to provide everything I needed for the purchase. What I didn't know was that a 3rd party had given the person I was speaking with his ID, taken a photo of him holding it, and sent a payment on the scammers behalf.

I have won a non-receipt dispute and an unauthorized claim against Skjonas thus far by the amount of information provided to me by the scammer. We are currently in a 3rd dispute over the same payment and I am at risk of being penalized over his mistake.

 

My question for you is, did you ever PM skjonas claiming to be speaking to him? Or did the imposter just have the requested information?

If you never PM'd him and he never got confirmation and simply gave out his ID to someone claiming to be you, then it's his fault and you will keep the money.

However, if you PM'd him and gave him confirmation that he was speaking to you, then it may be your fault.

This is not him. Also, my pm messages are the following : This is `Bogla from skype, please right click on my skype name and click "View Profile" to make sure it says "live:boglagold" as my skype ID.

But yeah, I didn't pm the person in question, the scammer made an account consistent with his skype name, and independent of skjonas' name.

 

At this point I don't think Bogla is at fault but I'll leave this open for a second opinion.

I am here today to post an appeal thread filed against me a couple days ago.

According to Bogla_Man_Toilet (http://www.sythe.org/members/413493-bogla_man_toilet.html) thread under the name [NEED SECOND OPINION] Skjonas Is A Scammer! (http://www.sythe.org/report-scammer/1781250-need-second-opinion-skjonas-scammer.html) in the Report a Scammer Archive, I, skjonas, am a scammer. However, I am here to prove that I am not with my following proofs and evidences.

During the scam, I was still considered a newcomer in Sythe and did not know much about the various identification methods that users had to do prior to sending e-payments. Was also unaware of the fake Skype IDs and scamming strategies used by scammers.

Throughout the Skype conversation, you can see how well-trained the scammer was. He acted as a middleman between me and Bogla and simply disappeared after both e-transactions were over.

I always thought I sent the payment in the amount of $322.5 to the scammer PayPal account and that is why I filed a chargeback after the scammer disappeared on me. I only came to the realization that I was filing a chargeback against Bogla when he reached out to me on Sythe and confronted me about it. Throughout my conversation with Bogla on Skype, I suggested trying to work on it together to try to find a solution. But Bogla rejected my idea and just kept pushing me toward cancelling the chargeback on PayPal or waiting for me to get banned from Sythe even though I was not the one who scammed him. I am a victim.

Both Bogla and I were scammed simultaneously by the same person. In the end, Bogla sent the RSGP to the scammer and I sent the payment to Bogla thinking it was the scammer. Now, the two of us are disputing against each other on PayPal. This case is partially my fault for being inexperienced but I disagree with the statement that I am fully liable in this scam case.

 

The thing is, it is 100% your fault for not getting the necessary confirmation when buying that GP. You literally gave away your IRL Identification Card photo and it was used in a scam, thus it's your fault and the chargeback should be reverted.

 

Talked to him on skype, basically he said that his credit card company issued him a loan on the 322.5 or something along those lines, and if he stops the chargeback he'll be in debt, which I find hard to believe since the 322.5$ is in limbo until the case is reviewed. Even so, it's possible he's just stalling for the verdict on the credit card appeal ( which could be up to 75 days) , to see if its worth keeping the 322.5 and running, or lose the dispute and receive no consequence.

Basically he isn't willing to cancel the chargeback, according to our conversation.

He's banned as a precaution because I don't want anyone rage-scamming due to a staff decision.
