Curious what others opinions are, i for one believe feeding and playing stupid is toxic. However me calling you a dumb ass and asking you to stop feeding is toxic to riot. Wasting my time is the most toxic of all but hey.. I love the game just cant stand the trolls.

If they feed because they are just inexperienced/unskilled then that's not toxic to me, at all. If they intentionally feed, yes, sure, defs toxic.

I personally think intentionally feeding/afk players are the worst. Verbally abusive players are bad sure, but I personally believe feeding/afk is the pinnacle of toxic. I wish Riot saw it that way.

Toxic is anyone intentionally impacting the game in a negative fashion. That could be feeding, AFK'ing, or raging.

I can't stand people who freak out about someone playing badly because they're bad or have bad game sense. It's a game, and insulting someone will not help them - or you - play better.

yah, this 100%. anything negative to anyone imo is toxic. so yes calling someone a dumb ass is being toxic. There's honestly no justifiable reason for anyone to be toxic.

yes but there is a huge difference between raging and calling someone a dumb ass for committing the same mistakes over and over. I dont know about you guys but i personally need to be told when im being a fucking retard. Now im not saying a few deaths cause that but 5 death before 5 minutes earns you a dumb ass award and it gives me comfort giving it to you.

If they're feeding because they are inexperienced with a game then that isn't toxic at all, although if they're doing it on purpose then yes, that should be considered as toxic.

Someone that points teammates mistakes to help see where they failed is NOT toxic, even thought many people in SoloQ immediately say "please report X for being toxic". Someone that is constantly flaming and harassing others, that is being toxic.

    Agreed, that's the key difference.

Angry people usually have a hard time seeing the difference between pointing out someone's mistakes and abusing that player for them. That's a fine line that a lot of those angry people cross into being toxic.

I personally didn't know that toix can also mean intentionally feeding or afk. From what I thought I always thoughts toxic has a base definition of "verbally abusing" your teammates. and nice siggy LoL smurfin, I tired to make mine similar to ya's

I started off toxic in game. My problem was i had know control and when people f*** up or made mistakes i would call them out and in cases rage. this is toxic and just ignoring chat has made the game much more fun. p.s sorry to all who get ragged at i think this is a true self control issue.

I think being toxic is when you abuse a less skilled or experienced player for dying. When you hate on a player for dying or making mistakes, you're pushing him further over the edge until the point he decides to feed or afk. And no, its not his fault its yours. Nobody wants to play with the whiney nerd crying over every little mistake. If you want someone to play better, you will give constructive criticism because chances are if you rage in the chat, hes just going to mute you anyway. On some days, i only seem to be matched with raging kids, my solution is just to mute them. This way when i make a mistake, i don't feel like OMG its the end of the world, i simply move on like it didn't happen without my emotions getting in the way.

It's your fault if the player keeps dying then decides to feed/afk since he's getting some 'rude' comments? Lol don't think so bud.

Pretty much sums up toxicity. I'd MUCH rather have a rage/flaming 20/0 player in my team, than a non-flaming/rager who is 0/5 but is kind and considerate.

Come on boys, we play to win, not to make friends. Grow some balls if you cant handle flamers hit the mute button.

While I share this view, when boosting (or just trying to win a solo que game) I'm more likely to win if I have an 0/2 top but I'm still fed vs I have an 0/2 top, a mid and jungle who aren't focusing on their roles cuz they're bitching about top feeding, a support trying to get everyone to shut up, and luckily I'm still fed but. My teams crumbling around me because one or two people couldn't just shut up for 20 min or so. Toxic is alot of things, but generally anything thats making me not focus on the game and instead deal with somone elses shit is what I'd define as "toxic"

Yeah sorry if you're attacking him for making mistakes in a game which is supposed to be 'fun' then its your fault. If you were in the work place irl (assuming you take this game super cereal) and some guy was being toxic to you i doubt you'd stick around either. Because its 'just a game' people are even more likely to just leave.

Why do people struggle to understand that being constructive will create a positive atmosphere for improvement - which if you want to win should be very important
