My verified paypal got limited

Hey guys,

Soo, what I was afraid of happening just happened. My paypal got limited.

It was previously verified and had its limits lifted, but I think that due to a spike in my paypal use over the past month they limited it.

The reason they gave is:

Which translates to: We need some more information about some of your recent sales.


In order to solve it, paypal states I have to both give proof of delivery for certain trades (but then doesnt give me any sales which require proof of delivery) and give them more information about myself and my sales.

Does anyone know how I can possibly fix this?

I can still reverse payments, so I could do that to get my balance to a minimal level incase there is no sure solution to this.

EDIT: I have no pending chargebacks. (nor ever had any)
EDIT2: A pending transfer of funds from paypal to my bank was being reviewed at the time, when this happened the funds got put back in my pp balance as well. Might be an issue of me having received around $2.5k in 2 days and then sending a 300$ ish payment from paypal to bank?

 

Is your paypal a personal or business account? If you're using it as a business account, they probably want proof that these transactions were related to your business and not money laundering or the like. What were the transfers for?

As a side note, paypal limited my account briefly when I received $20k in a week, but I called them and explained the situation, provided some info about myself, and everything was fine afterwards. Maybe try calling them up if all else fails.

 

I would've upgraded it to a business account in a week or so when I'd have launched my own website. It is currently set as a personal account.
I have pretty much the same case as you seem to have had.

I'll try calling them on monday. I'm wondering if there are some things I should or shouldn't mention when I do? What did they ask you more specifically, and what did you answer?

 

They asked me if I knew the other person, what the trade was for, whether we agreed upon it ahead of time, and if I planned to continue making trades like it in the future. The guy calling me was really chill, I think he called on a Saturday and had his dogs barking in the background lol. I just told him that I sold some virtual items for cash, that I knew the guy ahead of time and that we'd been planning to do the trade for several days, and we traded $20k in 24 hours just because we were both on at the time. They just asked me to confirm some personal info (mostly bank stuff and SSN) on their site, and the limit was lifted within a day. And they said that certain trades get flagged if they're irregular so not to worry as long as I wasn't planning on making huge trades every day.

Called them; customer support was rather clueless.

I've sent in an explanation as .pdf and am awaiting the response of the people that actually handle it to see what I'd need to do.

 

I told them I wasn't planning on repeating transactions like that. I use my paypal for all kinds of things (it's personal as well), and I've sold rs stuff on it since, but my trades since then haven't been nearly as large as those trades. Good luck!

my plan B is reverting the payments to some major traders, but I'd prefer to keep using my paypal account for obvious reasons.

Got it all lifted without having to send any actual documents aside of my explanation. Within 1h.

Paypal support is actually good for once, niiiiice.
