Arcus Gets to scam $3000

I will never buy off their site again because of this.


I completely agree with the guy that waiting 180 days is retarded beyond belief.


Im a fairly active marketer and I dont care who you are, if you make your customers wait 6 months for a payment you deserve to go out of business.


Will NEVER recommend anyone to arcus gold again.


It's nothing personal against him either lol, im 100% unbiased but I've read the reports, the comments here and I still highly disagree with what he's chosen to do(make this guy wait 180 days).

Sorry If I offend anyone Im pretty open-minded on most things and I try to be fair but this is just retarded lol.


P.S- Dont think Im entirely Biased towards this guy instead of arcus, I made sure to read everything involved with this case I could find lol.

You're all saying that the customer is out $3000, while that may be true he also has the position to make Arcus out $3000. We all know that Arcus will in fact pay out in six months, but nobody can know whether this guy will dispute or not, I'd would definitely say its not worth the risk and I'm sure all of you would too if you were in Arcus' position. Nobody should be forced into that kind of risk.

There is a risk to both traders in this situation, as mentioned in several other posts, and the only safe solution is to wait 180 days before Arcus resends the payment. It's unfortunate that the guy has to wait 6 months, but it was his PayPal that was hacked.

 

I honestly cannot believe people are going against Arcus in this case. A rare miss by the SF. I find it a bit convenient that the gold seller was so easily hacked after he sold his gold. It would have been easier to hack his gold instead and steal that.

He did livestream the trade, after all. He sounds like a smart cookie. It's his own fault.

Don't get me wrong here as i'm no expert, arcus doesn't want to pay 3k $ because he fears that the victim will open a case on the refunded payment making arcus pay another 3k$.

Couldn't this simply be resolved by making the victim open a case now requesting the money back on the payment and arcus could simply pay him back (via the open case)

all the guy has to do is call paypal and say his paypal got hacked and he didn't refund, they'll give it back to him. does not matter if he opens a case or any of that bullshit, they always side with anyone that claims their paypal was hacked

He claimed that he contacted PayPal and they denied him opening a case, but there is evidence that a case CAN be opened, but after six months payments cannot be disputed as unauthorised.

Just to clarify no evidence has been presented that they can be disputed, arcus showed a screenshot of 'unauthorised' transactions, no case history showing it had be refunded prior in anyway.

It seems to me like everything is being handled carefully and quite well, all things considered.

Everyone saying that Arcus should simply pay him now without any other measures taken: Would you accept a $3k payment for gold from a newcomer via paypal? Hell no. And that is what you're basically suggesting here.

Arcus makes $3k or probably even more in around a week. The chance of him becoming an unreliable business partner within the next 6 months is very slim. So, while it is uncomfortable for the seller (and I'd be pissed as well) it is the only safe way unless the hardcopy-contract option suggested by Sythe turns out to work.

Plus, I find it very suspicious that the payment was simply refunded. He says it was done from his balance: If that is the case, wouldn't a hacker be better off buying gold with it directly (perhaps from another gold shop), even if it would be half of what he'd get otherwise, than just hope that reversing it and asking for the money back would work.

It all seems like an effort to set up Arcus for a large chargeback to me.

Even if it is not, one should consider the possiblity that it was the goal of this. If that possibility exists, no one can blame arcus for being careful. He may be able to gain it back in a week if he loses it, but you dont get rich by being careless.
