To main or pure?

Starting a fresh account after a year away from the game. I'm torn between just going straight main or being a pure again. I am at university, and won't have a lot of time to play legit, mainly paying for services here and light botting at lower levels.

As long as I can remember, i've made pures. I usually go meele pure, I had a 60/99/1 in RS2 and even my first 'go' at 07 was a 60/90/1 staker. The only thing I really enjoyed when I played properly was PKing if i'm honest. The thing is I'm considering because of my limited time to play of just going straight main because it's easier to level.

Can anyone support a main over pures in 07? I honestly don't know what to do. I would quite like to make gold for selling (so main could be preferred) but I really don't know. any help?

 

if you don't have a lot of time to play - play pure. if you enjoy PKin'g - play pure.

too bad Pure Community isn't around anymore..

 

Is the wilderness still busy with pures? forgot to even ask/check

 

Go with main. Take time getting attack and defence to 70 and afk at NMZ when your in school/sleep

 

but why? like what is enjoyable about having a main. is it not alot of work with quests etc?

 

Main ftw! Nmz doesnt require too many quests, but if you are worried about it, there are great questing services (cough cough UPS). But seriously, mains are great, pretty easy to level, and you never know you might find something else you enjoy for mains such as Pvming or staking!

what PvMing is there available in 07? I honestly never did much back in 2007 nermind in OSRS

I'm thinking about going 60/80/1 and trying out some staking/pking before going on to get defence. It's a hard choice guise

 

They have added gwd and corp to 07. I'm sure there are a lot of other bosses im missing out on

Anyways, go for pure first then! Thats always a better idea as you can always switch over to a main or zerker if needed.

You can start as a pure and easily turn it into a main if you see the need. Pures can get a little boring after awhile. Much more to do with a main and much more money making opportunities.

Make sure to quest as much as you can. That's the key.

 

start off with a 1 def pure and max it out, when your done being a pure make it a zerk, then a main.

 

This is the best way to go about it. I'd recommend this way too, so you can experience each stage of account leveling, and see which one is best. Obviously there is no turning back after a decision is made to level up further.

However, for the most efficiency, choosing something that you know you'd like would be a better option. For example, choosing to be a main, you could get there faster if you were to train your defense along with your other stats, then nmz till maxed combat etc.

 

Pure is always fun!

 

Main, you'll have an opportunity to boss, and make cash. If you make it a 1 def pure, you'll get owned by zerkers all day

 

Main, it gives so many more options than being a pure. If your a pure, what you can basically pk/stake/skill. But if your a main you can pk/stake/skill/boss and much more. I recommend being a main

 

Exactly my point. However, pures are much easier to achieve cause they are technically a short term goal. The safest route would be to progressively advance through the levels, then he'd eventually end up maxed out

I'll choose main, cuz you'll loose a lot of activities with pure. For example bossing, quests and etc..

Im thinking about return to rs, if u want to we can play together. Build a pure, or your choice. But i'm going to fix pure.
