Can you be an SVU even though you have less than a 25$ donation?

Sythe has their reasons. Maybe so that it could be a rarer rank

Noone is forcing you to do that. Being sythe verified user is benefit of being $25 donors, same as with $5 donors, they dont get listed in list of donators because there's too much of them.

 

it doesn't stop any sort of scams or really add any extra level of security, it's just a method for Sythe to make money.

 

Anyone can scam at anytime so the amount donated really doesn't matter.

SVU you are giving them your PayPal info, which is verified. Then upon a scam, Sythe can give out their info to the user scammed to get into contact or use as a legal report if they really want. I believe that's how it works.

To say it's for Sythe to make money is quite wrong and defeats the purpose. It's a tiny layer of security for customers.

 

Well being sythe verified gives them your information such as phone number, paypal etc. Basically if you scam, you can't just run away as they have information about you

 

Requirements:
- Perk available after donating 25$
- Costs 5$ processing fee.

You get:
- SVU badge.

How you percieve the badge is up to you, if you think it gives trust and worth it get it. It's a nice way of showing the customers that you are less likely to scam them, as you Sythe will release your personal information to the victim (the ones you gave when processing your SVU) this will only happen if you are proven to have scammed.

 

The answer is no

 

The reason it is open to 25$ donors is because it's in BETA stage. Further tiers/removal of restrictions may be a possibility in future - we don't know yet.
