I am pardoning based on a ban for "blackhat activities". To preface my pardon, I would like to point out that none of my offenses had any victims. Although these methods have the potential to be used against people, there has been 0 evidence that they were used against anybody. There is simply the record of me purchasing the knowledge of how certain exploits work. I cannot recall ever causing somebody real harm with this knowledge. Often, the best way to defend against these types of exploits is to understand how they work.

While you may say that I am guilty until proven innocent on these offenses, I would like to assert that I have always demonstrated a very high quality of character on Sythe.org. I have handled thousands of dollars under R2Pleasent Gold Inc, and I have made friends all around the community. I think you will agree that I am of no risk to other users, and that a permanent ban against me for the evidence presented is an over reaction.

In terms of the direct reasons for my ban:

- E-whoring
- Skype Cam Exploit (I admit to this, it is not in my ban reason, but I received a copy of it)

I was looking to e-whore as a troll in Runescape and earn some gold doing it. I believe that this speaks volumes about how immature I was at the time, and anyone who knows me today would tell you that I would not bother with anything of the sort anymore. Regardless, e-whoring is a very vague term, and when applied to the game of Runescape really does not constitute blackhat activity. Without context of how this knowledge is used, I do not believe it is reasonable to warrant being banned from the community by any stretch.

The Skype Cam Exploit I used with some friends online to troll each other. I did not harm anyone when using this exploit.

The other ban reasons brought up in my report have already been pardoned. In terms of Runescape staking and DDOS'ing, I must point out that anyone who has ever staked in Runescape knows how prevalent DDOS'ing is in the community. If I did not work out how people were finding my IP, I simply couldn't expect to stake profitably. Once again, this offense was already sorted in a previous dispute.

Also, I asked about the reasoning as to why Derik's current HF account isn't banned/closed and I checked the most recent posts and this is what I came up with

In regards to the above post -

The reason I handled this situation differently is because you had previously dealt with this and you should have just tossed out the full disclosure in that moment. For me though, another big thing was the fact that your HF account was still active and had the "LEET" or whatever donator tag (not even really sure what it means)

Nonetheless you have my support, and if other staff members feel your case should be handled in a similar manner due to the way the above thread was handled, I have zero issues with unbanning you.

I'll say it again, I personally don't mind an immediate unbanning (the case would thus have been handled identically to the Frankzz case above) - anyone elses input is highly appreciated.

 

I support an unban, don't think Derik is a threat to the site at all. Quite an asset, actually. Would not like to see him gone from it.
