Got any good online money making tips?

If you have any (thats not too big of a secret) post them here. I'm intrested to see what you all are doing.

 

For me personally I started off web-programming and made a little cash that way, then I moved onto app programming.

As is, I've made enough money to cover the Macbook Pro I initially handed out on as well as (as you seen in my other thread) enough to buy a new 5k iMac. + Some extra cash for the savings account.

As far as investment and return go it's a pretty win-win situation. I liked to value my time that I invested into the apps were only for experience, and the apps I was making were of use to me. So to get sales from them was a bonus, and to make a substantial amount was great.

That's how I personally benefit from the internet, but I'm sure if you haven't got the time or patience for programming some others will have some good ideas too.

 

Where'd you pick up the knowledge of how to program apps? Courses, online, books?

 

I started to learn programming from a friend, but my dad was somewhat knowledgeable in the field growing up. I always had a fascination with problem solving and maths, so it really appealed to me.

As far as learning, from what I already knew I just hit up a few youtube videos with relevance to php then used the api after learning the basic syntax and structure.

As for programming apps, I was already 6 years programming solid with web development so I just went to apples api and went from there. Sometimes you get stuck, but that's the fun of figuring out a solution.

A lot of people recommend tutsplus I used a few of their courses for css and html when I was programming with graphics designers for web templates. As well as that, you can pretty much learn a decent amount from youtube alone, some people have gone to great lengths to teach you the basics and even some advanced techniques.

I feel the trick with my work though is that I buy a sketchbook for each app I make, and then draw up my ideas whilst they're fresh. And so they don't get lost in the development.

A good plan will get you to where you need to be. Don't just jump in feet first with the app in your head and try to make it.

I think gold farming is pretty easy to get into

 

Graphics and coding must be the easiest if you have knowledge about the thing your doing.

 

Not really into the whole gold farming. Never worked out when I tried it a couple times unless the ban rates have dropped down.

 

Swapping, skill/questing services, and graphics are good if you can do them also

 

Ban rates are actually really high at the moment, they were on RS3 for a while, but they are rising on 07 as well. This is in combination with a lot of manual banning by JMods, even hosting streaming sessions based solely around finding and banning botters.

Honestly you should have $100 and play around with penny stocks. You'll probably lose money, but it's a great learning experience and can teach you methods to make money in the future.

OT: What happened to working w/ Genesis?

 

One of their upper management is a ban evader and was previously banned for scamming.

After he was banned I put more evidence towards his ban and have since gotten him banned for ban evading again.

Apparently all of UPS management knew about it was was hiding his identity.

I generally agree with your posts, but I disagree with this one. There are plenty of free tools that let you do this sort of thing without the potential losses, offer more relevant learning experiences (i.e., trading with non-junk stocks), and let you do some of your own research in a useful environment as well. I think thinkorswim has a nice one. But yeah, penny stocks are worthless for a reason, and spending time with them is time wasted imo

 

Yeah, that's actually a valid point. The only thing is obviously with play money people don't necessarily take realistic investments, but it depends on the person.
