Allow Donors to upload own avatar

Is there a way to allow donors to upload their own avatars? Rather than posting on the avatar request thread for the 150x150 donor avatar size.

I posted a new ava little bit ago (like 4-5 days or so). Was never changed. That's why I bring this up.

Is this capable of happening?

The 150x150 avatar. Not the default size that every other user gets.

 

Pm a global mod to look at the thread.

There is probably a reason prohibiting it if it has to be done manually.

 

That's what I assume. But I just wanted to see if it's a possibility.

 

Hate to say it, but I gotta support OP on this one. I remember when I requested my avatar to be changed a couple of weeks ago, there was a long list of people that also requested the same thing, except they had been waiting for a good 4-5 days. Thankfully enough, leanbean answered my PM in an instant and changed my avatar along with the others.

I know that the mods are busy and they have a lot of things to worry about, but this really shouldn't be one of them, so they should just let the members do it themselves.

THEN AGAIN, I'm sure they have a logical reason as to why they have that thread in the first place.. I would just like to know why :laugh:

 

No room for abuse at current. I'll make sure I check it now & again. Most mods are just finishing up exams so anything that's slacking the past wee while should be back to norm.

 

Avatar requests have always been slow. Each time I've had to nudge a global to do it for me.

If there there is a practical way to do it I'd like to see this.

Support this as well. I don't like to wait for my avatar to be uploaded and it will give admins/mods spare time to handle other things.

Pretty sure Matthew said somewhere it has to do with special permissions and how our VB is customised. Don't think it's possible.

 

If it's something like that then completely understandable.

 

I agree, and I suspect its probably the case. Obviously this is something Matthew would have naturally already considered.

 

That's why I was very hesitant to post this because it seems something that is kind of a basic suggestion.
