    BlueJ is a piece of shit, they tried to get me to use it too. Notepad++ is better, or gedit for Linux. JCreator is also prime for larger projects on Windows.

    Once I finish the class I'll most likely switch over to something else, it's just a lot easier since many of the examples we're shown are in BlueJ.

    A great one a lot of people at my school having been using lately is Sublime. I really like it; I use it for almost all of my programming assignments. It can be used for a bunch of languages too.
