Alright so i'll keep this short and as for the replies, try not to leave it "extremely" technical. Issue started yesterday when i tried playing Advanced warfare on my pc and got this After that and a bit of googling, alot of posts i've seen was stating to re-install directX, so i go to download it, run the file and.. due to windows 7 i know it's integrated into the os so i can't simply delete it and re install,= but in order to repair the system i need to run the directx 11.0 download and click repair, but I can't because i get this error as soon as it loads. so yea.. what now
sounds like you better find those logs and post them here. While you're at it, go to your windows search tool and search for "dxdiag" and run the application that it finds. Take screenshots of the different tabs and post them here, too.
Could system restore to a time you know 100% that it worked, but honestly best bet is to do as the last error says and read the logs. They generate those for a reason braj
Don't know if this will help, but have you tried running installer/repair as admin? And as Blupig mentioned, check the logs man lol--and upload them here or search up the error. I
hmm. Well first off, one of your problems is that COD: AW runs using directX 11, and nothing less. You don't have the option as in some other games to choose to render using DX9 or 10. Your GTX 275 card does not support DirectX11, so this comes as no surprise that youre getting these errors. It's simply not capable of running the game due to compatibility concerns. You may be able to make the game work, but there will likely be lots of rendering errors because of this. First of all, try booting your computer in safe mode, and then try booting the game. Your resolution will be messed up, and your sound won't work, but the game SHOULD start. You can use MSconfig.exe to do this. Then go through, turn all settings to minimum, reboot without safe mode and see what happens. Chances are it still might not work, but disabling or minimizing some of the fancy DX11 rendering techniques used in this game may help you get it to launch. If it still doesn't work, you may have to upgrade your gpu to at least match the minimum requirements of DX11-capable, or wait/hope for a patch that fixes this issue...which I'm sure is fairly likely to happen given the COD games' histories.
You could be correct, it could be my GPU. But i find it a bit weird that i was able to run cod ghosts without a problem (cracked). I believe that ghosts also uses directx 11.0?
Your graphics card only supports up to DX10. You should have checked the system requirements on the store page on the Steam store before buying the game.
because since so many people had the same issue with COD:G, they released a patch to run the game on dx10 and 10.1 cards. Likely, you started playing after that patch was released.
