A message to everyone

I thought since I've come back people would be more mature and grown up, yet here I am being scammed for $50 bucks over a account that was sub par. People on here are always getting scammed, but why? To the sellers these buyers are giving you their hard earned money. You are being compensated fairly so why do you feel the need to scam someone? Runescape community is still horrible I see, it's disheartening.

 

not the runescape community , more like the few lazy kids that rather scam.

 

The most scammers are poor irl and they have nothing better to do to scam for 5$ - 50$. They will never reach anything in their life.

 

guy's no i think there 1 point thats no one is understand it : its all about "YOU" you should not trust some one new here on this website " if u want buy an account go pay more 10$ or 20$ or 30$ and buy acc of trusted member i got scammed over 2 time here from new commers then stopped buy of them cuze they will recover the acc after 1 day or 1 year..."

Thats is the problem ... the new people most of them scammer's...
so tell me how i can trust new one joined the website ?
for example to buy from him account and he cant recover it ?

 

I don't blame you for not trading new users trust me, it's just sad everyone gets the bad since a lot of new people scam.

People are just greedy, and people want to make money easy. scamming someone is easy. its just the people that are scum of the earth - in the end

i wouldn't judge a book by its cover, but yes most newcomers are scammers. Next time use a Middle man if it was is osgp.

 

You guys realize that there is trusted people on sites like sythe/powerbot etc that scam.

 

Admittedly, you bought an account for $50 and thought that it wouldn't be recovered... but to your point, it's sort of understandable. Not honest, and I'm definitely not condoning scamming, but it's understandable. You have an account, you sell it for $50. You have no reputation, so you can recover it with more items, more levels, and more value to resell again at very little cost to yourself. If you get banned, make a new account and try again. Rinse, later, repeat. There's that aspect, and also the fact some people just get enjoyment from taking things from other people in a sort of "I can do this and you can't stop me" way. If you know anything about game theory, you can think of it in that framework as well.

 

all i can say to help you for next time is don't ever go for something to good to be true always request for a pm always ask for middle man unless there trusted with proof not ohh i got lots of vouches from such and such.

 

It all boils down to who you can trust. Educate yourself with the knowledge on basic safe trading and your chances of getting scammed will be lesser. Use a trusted middleman, do not accept paypal from newcomers etc.

People think scamming is fine because of the veil of anonymity that the internet provides, but your actions affect someone else's life. Most scammers started out getting scammed themselves. Do not ever sink to become one of them.
