Dicing being abused heavily ;p

There should be something to verify that there a legit dicer.

 

I think there should be a limit someone can dice based off vouches, donor, or something like that.

 

It was obvious that he was going to scam it. Although no one could prove it.

You want legit and fair dicing? Donate 5 bucks, and go to the donor lounge thread. People won't trust you at first, so don't expect to be doing big bets anytime soon unless you have a good market rep to back you up. But there are other ways you can dice with them and earn their trust, such as buying RS GP and dicing it against them.

In the end, there's always that chance someone's going to ragequit. You just have to be cautious with who you dice with, and them with you.

 

If you want 50/50 dicing just use one of the BTC dicing services ^^^^^. They're instant and have a tiny risk of not paying out. Dicing with non-donors on sythe is just stupid, and even dicing with donors is pretty risky. Don't waste your time.

 

It's called gambling for a reason. They're gambling with their Sythe account if they've not got the money, so there is some payment in some respect.

This^ led me to believe you may not have had the best intentions either. Dicing is just another market, should we have "verified people" in the rsgp, boosting, account, etc, services too?

Stupid as it sounds. People who even won 07GP will even scam you if they don't win, a clear example to what happened to me is the perfect situation: he bets 10M 07, I dice a high number, he rolls a lesser one and at the end he tries to say that he sent me the money when he did not send me shit. I would agree if the said gold would be deposited to a trusted person ,so he could gave it to the winner. This user was expecting to win but at the end he just lost and lost his acc.

Yea WhoNeedsAChaser got scammed by dangelo for $550.

 

I feel like this issue won't have any real solution. There will always be people, possibly the same people making multiple account and pushing their luck to see if they could get free money. They have nothing to lose except a 2014 account.

 

As stated above, donate 5$ and dice in Donor Lounge.

It's not foolproof, but definitely reduces odds of getting scammed.
Also, be reasonable with how much you bet, and who you bet with.

 

There are many scams in the donor lounge and many people donate money just to get in, dice then scam. Im sure many of them are ban evaders who scammed before using this same method. If u trust the person when dicing, then your ultimately risking yourself getting scammed so theres really nothing you can do about that unless you require a deposit or something. To prevent this from likely happening I suggest some precautions. Don't dice pp cuz people can easily chargeback. Dealing with pp doesn't mean he will scam you during the dice bet but after he gets banned, he can still chargeback his dice bet with you, so dice with gp. Also, make sure you collect dice bets frequently and not let the money owed accumulate like in the case of dangelo and chaser chaser let dangelo keep dicing even tho the money was accumulating to 550 dollars. You can also ask to hold the cash if ur trusted I guess. But anyway these are just some precautions but ultimately u still can get easily scammed

 

Only way to semi-combat/limit this problem would be to make it so people can only join the donor lounge after they have been a member for 1 month+

 

One way to combat this on-going problem is to enforce a deposit on users wishing to dice. Going this route could even fund users who are scammed from not being paid out. Just a thought.

 

the only way for people to not get scammed is for sythe to integrate a type of btc wallet on sythe (like he's been planning before).

people deposit BTC to the wallet and they can dice via forum (similar to dicing other members on forums that have an "eco",) but instead with a fake currency, btc would be used.

Except almost no-one wants to dice with BTC. Almost everyone uses paypal/rsgp/miniranks.

 

Just don't dice anyone you wouldn't trust.

 

I do think that there should be limits for levels of dicing. Not sure how you'd set guidelines for that but something of the sort would help I'd assume.

I don't think you need any more than common sense.

Take a look at how many vouches they have and the quality of them.
See how long they have been active for on sythe and if they have paid out before.

You trusted someone with 60 posts, no vouches, no form of trust, dicing high amounts ($200).
That too, with paypal, where anyone can chargeback.

I'd recommend, if you want SOME form of trust, get donator status and dice in the donor lounge.
Again, you have to be selective as it does not guarantee you won't get scammed but you would be less likely to.
