Jagex wiping accounts?

So when I logged in earlier, I was at wilderness lodestone with no items and no gold. I went to the bank and every single item of value is gone, including items that have been on there for years

Yesterday I bought 250m gold, do you think that was the reason for it? It was the 2nd time I've ever done it, I did it a couple weeks ago for 150m and nothing happened.

I'm trying to figure out whether this was Jagex or if I was just hacked. At first I thought for sure it was Jagex because there were still some items, but they took things that have been the account for over 10 years, like my rune sets, but left a few things that I had gotten from drops. Then I realized not only did they take items I had gotten from doing GWD, but also a 4.1m reward I got yeserday when I bought a few keys.

What I'm asking is if you think this was Jagex or just a hacker. I haven't downloaded anything recently and none of my other accounts were touched

 

This was most likely a hacker, jagex doesn't wipe items off of accounts. I know because I've been wiped a few times before and only had my cash wiped and nothing else changed, not even the acc location.

The worst part is that the other day when my pin had 2 days left I accidentally cancelled it, you would think they'd ask if you're sure. Had 1 day left when I logged in today...

They haven't whiped accounts for a loooooooong time.
If your account was involved in RWT they straight up ban it nowadays.

It's most likely that your account information, including your pin was taken from you, most likely via keylogger.
Virusscan/malwarebytescan your pc and stay safe.

 

Mostly likely a hacker, I'm surprised they didn't change the password.

As suggested, you should run a scan on your computer.

 

be sure to set the authentication on your account to prevent people from logging into your account lol

 

They don't wipe accounts anymore, you got hacked, next time have a bank pin and your auth. activated.

 

Did you click any strange links or go to any "40b giveaway" or something on a youtube channel which made u put in your details on a site? Cause all those are phishing sites which get your account info and take your shit and thats probably what happened to you.

 

Given that you are a gold buyer, it's likely you were phished or infected while looking for easy gold prior to buying it. Scan your computer with Malwarebytes, then change the password on the email registered to the account and the account's password itself.

It definitely wasn't Jagex, I've been wiped before and this isn't how they do it.

 

Lol im not surprised. Its smart... The hacker expects the user to continue using the account and have some gold again so he can do the same thing...

This was probably a hacker. You don't necessarily have to go anywhere for your account to be hacked. A portion of Jagex's database could have been compromised and you were the unlucky fello who was on it.

 

Not true, I know it has happened recently to a few people I know, but in this case I think he has been hacked.

 

Even if it wasn't a hacker, download a virus scanner and perform a scan ASAP.
