New Posts Filter

I don't spend too much time on Sythe. What I'd normally do is when I'm bored or when I have a minute to spare, I go and check Sythe's new posts. I have no interest in the market. I just skim through the thread titles and I'd spend a few more minutes reading or posting if a thread catches my eye.

Would it be possible to filter out the new posts from certain sections? I'm getting tired of all the bumps from threads like gold selling and accounts. It usually eats up at least half of the first page. It would be really great if there was an option to exclude sections. Heck, I'd take a ban from the market forum if it stops filling up the new posts.

I don't really go beyond page 1, rarely do I go to page 2 and I never go to page 3. So who knows how many threads could have caught my eye that I missed.

I definitely support this. Very often I want to catch up on certain discussions while not caring about 95% of the new posts that happen between log ons; for that reason, I find the "New Posts" link in the bar at the top of the page pretty useless. It would be nice if you could just add say 10 forums to a "I care about these" list and have "New Posts" filter by that list.

 

If this feature could be implemented with vBul then it would be a very good addition to the site for those that don't browse the site for the market sections, or vice versa. It will eliminate content that people don't necessarily want to see. Overall very good idea.

 

I'd argue that it's useful for everyone. Even when I was interested in market things, I didn't care about 90% of subforums. Would be nice to filter out which ones we get information about.

I've requested a section ban from the sections I've no interest in. Game markets mainly. And man does it feel good! I lost it when I saw 3 threads in the entire first page that are from the sections that I could have interest in. You guys don't know what you can be missing with a filter!

 

I'd support a filter. Easier to navigate new posts.

Definitely support. Like you, I'm only here for the community and not for the market. It will help A LOT as I don't give a fuck about market but they tend to fill up more than half the page.

I support 100%. Im a user of the "new posts" button, and seeing the market posts with gold selling bumps is quite annoying when im trying to look for the latest actual threads to discuss in.

 

Complete support, I would love to be able to get on my phone and just see whats going on while im out to keep caught up.
