It's not just her that makes you feel happy whenever you hangout, it's with any girlfriend that you'll come across. If you are having problems now and already broke up, it's probably best to leave it like that to avoid future problems that'll result in the same situation.

 

I don't think that it's really her that makes you happy, I think you just like the company and you like human touch and you just like the feeling of having a girlfriend. Don't let her back, find a new girl that won't ignore you and make excuses to hang out.

This. I would like to add however that maybe she is realizing what she had and wants it back. Personally, unless she did something like show up to your house with a 5lb bag of beef jerky, I wouldn't date her again. Good job on doing what almost every guy can't bring themselves to do. If you start questioning if you did the right thing, realize how much happier you are in life and that no matter what, you'll find someone better and someone who will be lucky to have ya man.

I say just hang out with her, I mean if it makes you happy when you two hang then don't take that happiness away. However, just hang out as friends so you don't have that much responsibilities and stress for when she doesn't want to hang out. From there, only time will tell how you two will progress. If it works out well, then another chance wouldn't hurt , maybe she just needed a wake up call. If it doesn't, then no major harm done.

Don't listen to this. From my experiences, guys and girls generally handle breakups very differently. Girls tend to feel like garbage directly after a breakup, but as time goes on they become less and less emotional over the break up, while guys on the other hand usually feel liberated and free after breaking up, and then as time goes on they feel worse and worse about it (of course this is not always the case). I'm guessing this is exactly what's happening here--she feels like crap and wants to hangout and try to get back together, and like you said, you currently feel great. Don't get sucked into this post-breakup-hangout vortex, you'll chill maybe a few times, then she'll quickly move on and you'll be stuck wishing you were still together.

My advice: deny her advances, move on bro.

 

If you weren't happy the first time it is hardly likely you will be second time around (if you decided to pick things up again)

In terms of her wanting to 'hang out' again, people who change after a break-up or promise someone they will try harder make a concious effort to do so. This may last for a small period of time while they essentially 'force' themselves to, but will over time slip back into a pattern of behaviour they are accustom to.

Also, if you are relieved and/or happy after a break-up, the general consensus is you were not truly happy in it.
