Limited On PayPal

Okay so i was limited by paypal today with $200 funds in my paypal account.
i really need the money but to possibly remove the limitation paypal is asking me to add a card or photo ID or provide proof of address.

What proof of address do they want?
What valid proof can i give?

Also i was reading around and i came across something like your funds become available after 180days wait. Does this mean the complete limitation gets removed after 180days? Even if i don't provide the proof they require?

Please help as i want to become unlimited asap as now im stopped from doing business on Sythe.

 

I've been limited before, I sent in a scan of my ID and they want bank statements or utility bills as proof of residency. I ended up getting limited another two times after that but for about 6 months I haven't had a problem.

 

i have had the 180 limit what happens is you only receive a portion of what the other person is sending like when i got it i recieved 85% funds and 15% went into a hold for 3 months after 3 months they would start getting put back into my account etc.

 

Proof of address = Picture of a water/utility/internet/electricity bill.

Can be real, or shopped if you do it perfect.

My acc was limited in january (200~$ like you) and I can tell you that after 180 days, its still limited.

I wanna be able to send the money tho (to my other account) in order to do that. I cant have 2 accs with bank acc.

Verify the account, it's the only way you'll ever get to touch that money again.

 

I'm not 18 yet,and when I get 18 will I be able to get it?
Also if I provide proof of address would that req age or name?

 

Call Paypal and ask to speak to a supervisor.

Tell them you are not willing to wait 180 days and that you are underage. You do not have the documents they are requesting. Tell them to send you a check and close the account.

If they refuse to do that, tell them your parent / legal guardian will collect the money on your behalf (assuming they are willing to do so and assist you). Once again, tell them that you refuse for them to hold your money for 180 days and that withholding your money is illegal. Tell them you will contact the BBB (Better Business Bureau) if they insist on holding your funds.


EDIT: As for continuing to use Paypal under the age of 18, you will need to open a joint account with a parent or legal guardian. They are not going to simply remove the limitation for your current account.

 

It is a common practice for online payment wallets to hold your funds, surely its not illegal otherwise they'd be getting sued every day.

Paypal cannot hold your money simply for breaching their ToS. The only justifiable legal reason they can hold your money is if they suspect you have broken a law. If you challenge them enough on this basic concept, they will concede and allow you to withdraw.

 

They would require a name but not age. But they usually require ID as well as proof of address, and your ID will have your dat of birth on it.

Also, why do you have a utility bill if you're under 18 lol.

Wouldn't being suspected of fraudulent activity be enough?

 

Man it happen to me if you can wait out the 180 days , just transfer it to your account , if you want the money right away get a ID
