If you could pick a dream job that is reasonable, what would it be?

Mine would be to become an Orthopaedic Surgeon. I would also own my own practice and start up a few businesses along the way. Eventually run the local Hospital.

 

I shit you not that's almost spot on for me... I'm planning on majoring in biology then hopefully going to med school to become an orthopaedic surgeon. I've always loved it ever since I broke almost every bone in my body (not at the same time) so I've come to love the studies behind it. I've also been highly considering emergency medicine since I would love to directly help any and everyone out in hospitals.

 

If lucky open an investment bank, or run a big company supplies chain

Ive never really been able to answer this question as of today i still dont know what i want to do, i like to try to different things, some day i hope to own a company perhaps. Right now my life is in a big mess and cant make any major decisions.

Crazy as it sounds. I also want to be an orthopedic surgeon. I have a lot of back problem a and have had 2 surgeries to have 4 rods and 23Screws put In my spine. They basically told me I'd be paralysed before I was 20 if I didn't have the operations. And I'm now fascinated by the studies.

I want to start up my own import export company essentially "flipping" white goods + electronics i purchase overseas by the container-load and then reselling in my own country.

 

I would love to be paid to make video games. However, that's not very realistic

My more realistic dream job is to work at an investment bank or work at a consulting firm.

 

If I were going to just get a ""Job"" that wasn't my career, I would take a shot at being a bartender. It slays your weekend social life, but you would make great money for not that many hours, and meet an incredible amount of people.

 

Aren't you in computer science? It's completely realistic these days. You can develop games on mobile devices I want to work in the video game industry too.

 

This is pretty much me. The course I took was based on my skill, not on what I want. I went with finance. I guess being an entrepreneur was what I'm aiming on recently.

Id probably say songwriter but thats a pretty big longshot, even if I were to become sucessful id probably have to work a day job. I go nuts with idle time.

A more realistic answer would be general contractor.

 

The job I have now as a Software Developer. My work environment is very chill, great pay and benefits. In addition to an awesome crew of people to work with.

My dream was to be an anesthesiologist, but, I took the military career path instead. Scoring a 95 on my ASVAB I had the option to go into the Navy as a "Nuke" with an entry level of E-3 and a sign on bonus of 11,000 USD. I leave for basic next month on the 24th. 6 year contract, and a 100,000 USD bonus for re-enlistment or a pipeline to go the Officer route.

I'd say I'm on my way to becoming upper middle class or lower upper class

 

I'd either like to be a manager of a business with an economics degree or I might be an architect, always loved designed houses and I'm interested in the design of buildings
I'd love to design some important building somewhere!

 

I wish to become a computer programmer of some sort preferably based in america or london.

 

What kind of software do you work on?

 

I'd like to become a successful entrepreneur. I can't think of many jobs more desirable than being able to create and own your own business. Having complete control of its assets, your own salary, etc.
