Lets talk payment methods

So I was considering a new payment method, or possibly looking into and discussing it with myself in my brain quietly in a corner.



- A few days/week ago or so, I stumbled around the thread that Divica I think it was made about something like Google Wallet, or something Wallet (cant quite remember what though) - So I am considering if to start that also ontop of the current PayPal/Skrill options I have.



I don't personally use Western Union, I know of one place that does that in my town, and that's a local pawn shop that buys gold rings etc and melts them down for scrap etc, I was also considering Player Auctions, allthough I don't know much of a background on that, please note this wont just be for stuff like Runescape.




- Let me know your thoughts/suggestions, and if you know the name of the wallet thing i'm thinking of - Thanks in advance.

Personally, I've used Skrill in the past on transactions where I didn't feel comfortable accepting PayPal. The fees aren't that bad and it's practically impossible for anyone to chargeback.

 

yeah I agree, however my Skrill isnt currently verified, and I want to expand more further payment plans for users

 

I don't think many people use google wallet, last year they were talking about shutting it down . New payment methods are definitely good for business though as it should be your goal to reach out to as many people as you can.

 

Yep correct, alot of people want to use paypal, but I would much rather not always risk that form of trade - So its limited with what I can use atm >.<

 

Hey man! If I can suggest something, just do every single payment methode u can. Accept PP from trusted people. Use skrill, google wallet, btc (more and more popular in buying things on sythe I find), ... Im not saying to accept everyone as a customer with whatever method. Limit your less trusted customers to certain methods, .. More business, more money.

 

Most payment methods are safe except PayPal. If you take PayPal, only take from trusted users/users that have done previous transactions in the past. You can go through Player Auctions as well to make PayPal safer.

 

I fail to see how Google Wallet provides any payment security above Paypal. They're both payment methods where you add and pay with a credit card, with minimal verification.

Payment methods often have a relationship between:

- Ease of Use
- Security
- Fees

Western Union has medium ease of use, high security, but also has the highest fees.
Paypal has the highest ease of use, lowest fees, but also the lowest security.
Skrill has good security, medium fees, medium ease of use
Bitcoin has high security, low fees, very low ease of use

So you see, there is a trade-off with every payment method.

 

Use Bitcoin
Features :
All payments are final(No chargebacks)
Easy receive money or make a wallet.
Easy to use and understand.
Fees are 0% or depending on site it will be under 1% though.

 

Limiting your payment options to less trusted members is a necessary practice. I know it can get annoying, as it seems like you "lose out" on several trades by not accepting their PayPal payment, but you're only doing this to protect yourself from chargebacks. Turning down a PayPal payment from a less trusted user and losing the sale is always better than accepting it and risking a future chargeback, in my opinion.

 

Yeah, Bitcoin is about the only properly secure payment method.

 

They have now invented Apple wallet available to most Iphone users at a click of a button.

 

BTC & WU are by far my favorite of all time. safest too.
