Blizzard cancels Titan

Was anyone really looking forward to this game? I had heard it brought up a lot, and apparently it was in development for 7 years, but the project has been axed.

I don't really know what the premise was, did it hold any promise or nah?

7 yrs seems like an awful lot of time to spend on something and then throw it away...I wonder how much money they spent on the project.

 

I didn't even know it existed LOL Wish they would give us a sneak preview at what could have been tho

But yeah, I had never heard much about the game. It seems like not much was ever really said about it, but 7 years!!! I mean damn, that's a long freaking time. Blizzard said they didn't want to release something they knew wasn't their best, which I admire. They also were quick to note though that it was never officially released.

I guess Titan is Blizzard's version of Jagex's Mechscape/Stellar Dawn!

 

Yeah, I've always been a huge fan of Blizzard and what they've been able to accomplish. Starcraft, Diablo, and Warcraft paved the way for so many other games. It's just sad that bots rule Diablo/WoW now. Wish they were more proactive in stopping it like Jagex was.

 

Bots rule WoW, since when? It's VERY hard to get away with botting on WoW, it's hard to get away with anything on WoW.

I've never heard of the game "Titan" I did google around a bit but didn't find any informative information, if it's something they thought people wouldn't enjoy it's a good idea they didn't release it even if they did spend 7 years on it, I can't find any screenshots of it so it must not of been that far into development so I imagine not a lot of money went into it.

 

Wasn't even aware of this game. What it was about? RPG too?

 

Yes I believe so, I believe it was supposed to be another MMORPG. From the very little intel I could gather on it, looked more like an apocalyptic styled MMO.

 

If they believe it won't meet up to the quality of standard that wow does why scrap it? Sell it to your competitor

 

Well it seemed like a pretty nice game so it's always shame that things like this happen =|
