\Pending Suggestions\ sub-forum for suggestions

I think it would be better if there was a 3rd sub-forum added to the Suggestions forum which is the 'Pending Suggestions' sub-forum (along with Approved Suggestions/Denied Suggestions).

This would be for threads for ideas that have been approved, but not yet worked upon.
Once those suggestions are complete, they would be added to the approved forum.
This would also allow us to see which updates/fixes are coming to sythe in the near future.

Also, not related to this suggestion, there are threads that are 6 months old that have had no response since still in the suggestions forum, I'm not sure if they have just been left in purgatory or no-ones decided if they should be approved/denied or what?

 

I don't think the inactivity in the suggestions forum is due to people not being able to identify which suggestions are pending or not. I think it's just a less active forum. If people aren't approving or denying suggestions now, what would make them do so after the addition of a sub-forum?

 

It's nothing to do with that, it's just so we can see what updates are incoming or what they will be fixing etc, not to clear the forum.

I'm just saying that there are threads that are 6 months old in the suggestions forum that don't seem like they have been looked at at the side, nevertheless I will edit that out of post if its confusing.

 

I would be in favor of this. It should cancel out the repetition that plagues this forum.

 

No support. Approved = pending. It's not saying it's completed. It just needs to be moved if they are working on it.

 

That didn't make any sense lol. Approved and pending are two different concepts entirely. There are no negatives from this.

 

It would still be nice to know what updates are coming, or what is being worked on, rather than having a generic 'Approved' section with everything thrown in it.

 

To be honest I don't know if this is needed but it will this section more organized.

 

I strongly support this idea. In my opinion, its needed and as someone above said, it would reduce the suggestions that are just repeated over and over too

Not necessarily. Most approved suggestions are instant, and a lot of the pending suggestions are buried under them.

Lol there is no need for activity in suggestions mate. OP is stating that make a sub forum for suggestions that are in the making/being talked about between staff rather than having it sit in the suggestion part of the forum where people continually bump the thread.

 

How would we know what's pending and what's not?

Idk what I would be searching for at that point.

 

I'm guessing an admin would respond, like how they responded to the miniranks suggestion saying it was pending. But yeah that doesn't really help much.

 

I used the search button for posts containing the word "Pending", I got 4 results.

I'm not going to search through a list of threads just to find out, not really worth it. =|

 

Overall, it would let us know what is being/is going to be worked upon & would organise the forum a little better.
