payment from unverified paypal account.

Hi there. ive always had so much issues with paypal. every time I received money they limited my account and asked why I got this money or when I tried to take out money. at the end one guy finally did chargeback and they blocked my account for 180 days.

Finally I got my paypal unlocked and ive been using it for half-month now. (was using other boosters paypal to receive my customers money but its really hard and dumb)

So I got today payment from unverified account (76 dollars) and im bit worried. since I never got payments from non-verified accounts. Is there high risk that something might happen? or is the risk same? I just don't want my paypal to be blocked again. o.o.

 

I'm going to assume it was a Canadian unverified account. Meaning underage people use fakenamegenerator and create a fake Canadian account that allows them to send money. Chargebacks are more often from unverified accounts, but won't really affect the limitation percentages. Is your paypal Premier or Business or just Personal for it's standings? That usually creates a pretty big factor when they look at who they're limiting. Nobody with a personal paypal needs to receive $100's of dollar for Gold, or send $100's of dollars for gold. If they do chargeback, then yes it will increase the probability of you being limited.

 

^ its personal. I spoke to paypal and asked if I should make business account. I told them what im doing etc. virtual goods n stuff. they said u can always use your own paypal , no need to make business one for that. ( when they opened my paypal ) but what I noticed every worker from Pp support talks different stuff.

They don't support virtual sales, meaning they won't really assist you, etc. Could be on of many reasons they limit your account.

 

I disagree with Yemon that people don't need to send hundreds of dollars a month for perfectly legitimate reasons that have nothing to do with rs.

But OT: It sounds like your account is unverified or you haven't completed the verification process (entering SSN, confirming bank account, etc.) Have you verified your account? They won't limit your account every time you do business if this is the case, except maybe for people who are located in Syria/Somalia/etc. or who've had negative balances in the past. Did PP explain why they were limiting you?

 

My reasoning was via RS related trades. Making large gold purchases/selling with a personal instead of premier or business has a much higher chance of limitations /questions from paypal.

 

They don't support virtual goods chargebacks.
So they can't chargeback if they choose for virtual goods.
Well they can , but paypal don't support it so they cancel it

 

My paypal is verified. Every time I received money example : 10 euro+ they limited my account and asked why I received this money every single time. (or when I tried to take out money) till one day till I sold RSGP to one guy and he did chargeback , they blocked my paypal then for 180 for me being (fraud) when I told them everything correctly ._.
Now its been fine past half-month. but im still bit scared ( no chargebacks yet tho) so I want to stay safe. but you never know who will chargeback and when.

I know its not always easy, but It sounds like your best option is to not accept PayPal.

But to answer your question, its pretty much the same chance imo.

It is pretty easy for unverified paypal to chargeback especially if you got no proof of the trade going alright

 

just make sure u have proof

 

I wouldn't accept any payments from an unverified paypal as there is a lot higher risk of fraud and the unverified account going into negative balance.
