God damn it guiz you're starting to tempt me! >_<

I've considered a tattoo sleeve but would need to come up with some designs.
How long does something like a sleeve take? I always hear people say hours and just imagine the cost.

It's usually about 4 or 5 hours and most of the artists around here charge 100$ an hour.

I have 3 tattoos myself. All hidden if course.

A full sleeve can take months over several sittings, just depends how quick you wanna do it. A lot of scar tissue to heal up so leaving it longer is best.

Bottle pickers are well respected people I have you know.

Imo, people with sleeves lack self control.

Apologies if I don't understand, but do you mean tattoos that are accepting in the workforce? Do you think sleeves are acceptable?

You dont know what you are talking about. There arent any sleeves taking that short a time .. seriously. You probably couldnt get a full sleeve OUTLINED in that time. Even then most if not all of them are done in several sessions.

I plan on finishing one of my arms into a sleeve, im in no hurry to do so and MAYBE get one tattoo a year. Do I lack self control in your opinion? I understand where you are coming from in MOST cases. Once you start tattooing its easy to get caught up and go gung ho. My first 4 were all in 1 year. Realized I was taking it too quick I took a year or so off and have gotten around one a year since.

The way I see it is Ill have more important life experiences down the line Id like to commemorate with a tattoo. Itd be stupid to get covered up so early on and use up all my skin!

    Uhh... okaaay

Slowly but surely tattoos are becoming acceptable. I had a teacher in highschool with a tattood hand and neck, and 5/10 years ago she wouldn't have gotten the job. Soon people will realise someone isn't going to not use your business because your employee has a tattoo..

Plus it's nobody elses problem but the person with the tattoo about jobs.

I agree with Anet and Jack really. Tattoos are ugly on 99% of people and normally cheaply done (college whooo) or just inappropriate. Piercings outside of the ear lobe, tiny nose stud, and belly button weird me out.

I am a fan of tattoos, but in moderation. I don't like huge sleeves or when people have them all over their body. But hey, its your body, do you what you want, just be responsible

Personally I would only get a tattoo if something happened in my life that meant a lot to me, e.g. someone close to me dying. I would have to be damn sure that I wasn't going to regret it at all.
As for people who get tattoos because they think it looks cool, it's kind of cringe in a way. Tbh though if its something small that you probably wont end up regretting then in my mind that's acceptable. I wouldn't get one, but hey, your body, your decision.

I don't mind other people having tattoos unless it is something blatantly stupid. I don't plan on getting a tattoo ever.

None of that is permanent. I feel as though once you get a tattoo, you better be pretty damn sure you're going to want it for the rest of your life.
Funny you should compare it to wearing designer clothes, because my idea of fashion is going to change in the next 5 years. I can almost guarantee that. If I were to get a tattoo I thought looked good right now, in 5 years I would end up regretting it.

But its still something people do to be "trendy" in their circle, ya?

It's someone else's problem whether they regret tattoos or not - not a reason for anyone else to hate em, IMO. I know for a fact any I get I wont regret no matter how silly they are - because there was a time when I was happy and pumped full of adrenaline and living life how I wanted.. be it to fit in, to rebel, being drunk or in love - and that tattoo would remind me of that time.

As many said above, you can do almost all and no matter how bad it will look or it will be, you still can call that shit art. And sticking to the thread I would say that imho they really are but you need to know that the tattoo will be forever and it must mean something to you rather than just having a dragon or some sort of shit tattoo just because it's "cool" which is the most stupidest thing i could ever heard of and a total waste of money. If you do something do it because it means to you something, not just because you "decided" it was cool or some sort of bullshit.

It's not about what the employer and coworkers think. It's usually about the customer and nowadays appearance means everything. Tattoos are negatively stereotyped and I can see it affecting a business that resides in an area where it isn't the norm.

I've never had a teacher with a tattoo, and I doubt they would be accepted over those with no visible tattoos. It causes distractions and negative vibes from parents.

In most urban areas they aren't stereotyped; everyone and their granny has one these days. Just ink.

Some dragon tattoos could hold a deep spiritual meaning regarding to chi and fortune. All of them aren't really stupid tattoos unless the person actually got the tattoo just because they thought it made them cool.
