So when I try to send money it wants me to do a phone verification first. I select my phone number from the list and then it says that the phone is not registered under my name. Has anyone had this problem?

 

Mind posting a screenshot so I could take a look? It's probably an even further security measure to have the phone number under the same name as the bank account is under to prevent fraud. But that's just a guess, it could just as equally possible be a glitch

Looks like the paypal and phone are registered to 2 different people.

 

So what phone is registered under your name then? Try some other numbers...

 

Call Paypal ( The customer service line) and talk to them about the issue you're having.

 

No, it's my phone and my paypal.

This phone number is the one and only number listed in my paypal.


Hailey, I think that's what I'm going to have to do.

 

Because if the phone is registered under your parents name or something to that effect you'll have the same problem because the records don't correspond.

 

The phone is pre-paid through straight talk so I've been wondering if that's the issue.

 

Well a customer service call wouldn't take very long. That's what I would go with.

Get a new phone number (with a new phone) and try again.

 

Yeah that has to be it. I'd give them a call and ask about it, if they can't do anything use the phone for someone you trust.
