ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Throughout July and August the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has gained a lot of attention worldwide. If you've been living under a rock for the last couple of months it basically entails videoing yourself getting a bucket of ice water poured over your head and challenging others to do the same typically within a 24 hour window, if they are unable to do so they are obliged to donate $100 to ALS. There have been numerous hilarious submissions surrounding it. Perhaps one of the most interesting turn of events surrounding ALS however was 50 Cent challenging Floyd Mayweather to read a page from a Harry Potter book. If he could successfully read it 50 would donate $750k to ALS. Here's a video showing Mayweather's talent (or lack of) for reading.

Suffice to say if you're reading this, you aren't Floyd Mayweather. Some argue that since it's such a fad of late people are just doing it to conform and be popular and it detracts from the whole idea of raising funds for ALS. Does it matter? Does it matter since they are still receiving donations?

Celebrity Nudes Leaked

Don't kid yourselves, since this has happened this has been the only news story of the month for most of you. The pictures originally were leaked on the cesspool of the internet AKA 4chan.org with Jennifer Lawrence (Lead Actress from Hunger Games) at the forefront of the leaked pictures alongside many other celebs. The event was dubbed the Fappening, for obvious reasons, and a page was set up on Reddit compiling all the pictures which has subsequently been taken down with others taking up the crusade in its stead. It has been reported to have happened due to iCloud being hacked but there have been other theories such as one 4chan user claiming there is an underground celebrity nude trading ring. Was it a 1337 hacker? Was it aliens all along? I doubt we'll ever find out for sure. The empty threats from celebrity's lawyers of prosecution won't resolve the situation, that's for sure.​

Swatting

While this isn't a new prank it's gained a lot of popularity recently. It consists of making a false report to the police serious enough to warrant a SWAT team be sent to a location. On the 17th of August youtuber Whiteboy7thst was caught out as he was streaming DayZ because someone rang up claiming there was a bomb in his house. While clearly innocent of having a bomb, he was arrested for possession of Marijuana. Is it just a matter of time before all of America legalizes weed? On the 27th of August twitch user Kootra was streaming CS:GO when he fell victim to the prank for all his viewers to see. ScrewPain and veri on Twitter have claimed to be responsible for this event but the investigation is still ongoing.​

How did you find sythe?

I found out about sythe from a friend that basically hacked me on RS but was trying to use sythe to cover it up.​

Who were your first friends on sythe, and have you kept in contact through the years?

Superman was one the first people on sythe that I became really close with and we still keep in contact ​

Have you had any businesses on sythe, if so, what?

I would occasionally sell GP but never kept up with my thread consistently.​

How would you say being one of the few girls on sythe has affected your stay on the site these past seven years?

I've learned that when you're a girl on sythe that you need to learn not to take things personally​

What was your first reaction to getting moderator on sythe?

I was ecstatic and really surprised haha​

How would you say being a moderator for such a long period of time has affected your life outside of the internet? What lessons have you learned?

I've learned that you need to learn to balance how much time you spend on the internet and IRL.​

If you had to marry one member of the sythe community, who would it be?

Dave because he has a sexy ass. ​

Do you ever plan to return to the staff team

Hopefully yes, once I have some free time.​
