When I was a young boy, I took a Karate class deep within the mountains of Eastern Indonesia. There, my Sensei and I worked together for almost 2 years, side by side, learning, as well as warding off foes. One late night, while we were enjoying an exquisite meal of delicate pastries and ancient monkey-picked oolong tea, we heard a deep rumbling echo, outside of the dojo.​

Sensei quickly shouted "Buta Kalas!", but I was already to my feet and ready to go. We sprinted side by side to the armory, and I still remember seeing my old friend grab his favorite oriental sword... for the last time.

We both hurried along to the main entrance, which faced a grand, deserted valley below. I immediately sensed it, and he did too. The Buta Kalas were on the other side of this humble set of doors.

I turned to the old Sensei, and started to speak,

"Sir, incase we don't make it-",

but he nimbly interjected before I could finish the grim thought.

"My apprentice; you have been training your entire existence for this very moment. The whole earth is the tomb of heroic men and their story is not given only on stone over their clay but abides everywhere without visible symbol woven into the stuff of other mens lives."

With that, he leapt out the doors and into the battle. I (reluctantly) followed, and we fought of the Buta Kalas deep into the night, until finally, the welcoming light of the sun started to become visible.What was left of the Buta Kalas retreated into the eerie foothills, and I approached my Sensei to initiate celebration.

That was when I realized the terrifying fact that would come to define who I was; and inspire the rest of my existence.

I was the Sensei.
Well, the real me. The old and true self, which had been lost deep within, living in the dark caverns of my conscience.
The Buta Kalas? Temptation, Ignorance, Greed, Impatience, Anger, Intolerence. The Buta Kalas were everything I had become.

Who am I then?
That's what I was wondering at the time; until it finally hit me-
-the sharp spear of a rogue Buta Kala, that is.

Sensei quickly dismembered it with a swift motion, and arrived to my aid. It was a direct hit to the chest, and there was nothing to be done.
But that's okay. I was the old me, and this is how I came to terms with a new, truer life.

Now, I am the Sensei. I am in control, and the old self, along with all I'd become is dead. A weight had been lifted off of my shoulders, and now I feel great.

NAAAAAAHHHHHHH, I'm just screwing with y'all! I chose it because my name's Chase and Iamcoolio was taken.​
