Strong & Independent Women

Genuinely curious firstly if there are any women other than verts and cholecat who visit the spam forum.

And now for shots to be fired. Let me get my cannon.

Strong and Independent is the term I hear women use to describe themselves and their aspirations a lot, particularly career women. Yet the practical goals, conclusions, reasoning and various assertions of modern feminism are so philosophically flimsy -- so easily debunked -- that accepting and believing in them is equivalent to believing that the earth is flat.

Modern feminists far from being strong and independent are weak minded and ideologically dependent to an extreme degree. Many cults have better underpinnings than assertions as broad and obviously false as 'gender is a social construct'. (Look between your legs. Does it look like a social construct?)

Strong and Independent in my mind would speak to the quality of a person's ideas and the strength of their virtues -- in particular the pursuit of the truth (that one ought to know what is) and the acceptance of humility (that one often doesn't.)

To be a strong and independent person is to accept nature and reality as they are and deal with them as they are. That includes accepting that gender is not a social construct, that you are born a particular sex (well 99.99% are) and have a particular set of biological imperatives to pursue.

I spent six years at university and I am quite familiar with the level of ball busting that goes on due to modern feminism. You silly, silly girls. Shaking my head. From out of the gates, if you want a family (and generally you do if you want to be happy) your full time job is selecting a mate. You only have ages 16-30 to settle down, and realistically most men are not shopping for 30 year old women.

I really respect women who live out in the country and have raised a brood of kids, have dealt with life and death on a regular basis, live off the land (or try to), milk cows and tend to animals on a regular basis. In my mind if a woman can put a chicken on the chopping block, take its head off, pluck it, put it in a pot and serve it to her family for dinner, THAT IS A STRONG AND INDEPENDENT WOMAN. Fuck your desk job and fuck the king.

In a world where I'm a butter fingered fuck. You're all so lucky my butter fingers take a hiatus when the mysql prompt appears on the screen.

But it's not about fighting to begin with. This notion that genders are supposed to fight each other is another of the feminist assertions. One gender does not oppress another any more than the sun oppresses the moon. The genders are complementary not competitive.

You should have kids. It's what humans have evolved to do. It fulfills your purpose in being and will make you happy. No amount of achievement will compare when you look back from your death bed upon the time you had.

If you believe in equality under the law then you are a libertarian. There's no reason to even bring feminism or men's rights into it.
