anyone having issues with Moneypaks lately?

i recently had someone try to charge me back and took the case to the resolution center, and ever since then i havn't been able to redeem mps.

Have contacted both paypal, and MP and both have stated that my account was fine, and i should infact be able to redeem them.

this is the error i'm getting - note these mps arn't funded by me, im just redeeming them for others-



anyone ever had this happen, and know how to fix it, because apprently both pp and mp have no clue what they are doing.

 

Happened to me. You're pretty much done. I can no longer redeem moneypaks because of this.

 

I'm not sure if chargebacks and redeeming MP's are necessarily related.
I've had multiple chargebacks before, and can still redeem MP's.

Can you make a new bank account/credit card to make a new Paypal account?

 

Probably not worth the effort. OT: No, I haven't had that happen, but several others have; there might even be a thread complaining about it on the top page of two of market disc . If you've redeemed over $4k this month, you might have triggered your monthly limit (they only let you redeem after $4k/month by getting receiving checks in the mail), but I don't think this is the case for you. Sorry man :/. Keep pestering them about it, maybe they'll figure something out for you :|

 

What happens with PayPal and MoneyPaks is you're given a standard $4k limit and PayPal uses MoneyPaks as a way to immediately load money onto your PP without waiting for a bank transfer.

HOWEVER, they monitor this by watching your bank transfers (both in and out). So, if you put in a moneypak aka adding money into your account and at the same time or within the same week transfer money out into your bank account. PayPal flags you with a warning. If they catch you doing this once or twice they usually limit your PayPal. If you're a valued customer who's been with them for a long time, they basically cut you off from MoneyPaks for good.

Their customer support is shit, you won't be using MoneyPaks on that account anymore.

that rather silly i never even got a warning for it, the paypal chick said i needed my info like ssn and all that added to my pp to use mps, and i told her i did all that when i linked my bank account...


oh well. now atleast i don't have to deal with people messaging me at 4am to do mps lel.

 

That sucks. Does it have anything to do with where the moneypaks were purchased vs where they were redeemed? I only redeemed ~2k in one month and was forced to received checks after that. Next month I redeemed ~$500 and was forced to receive checks again, and got a letter in the mail saying that I wasn't using their service correctly and they wouldn't send any more checks, lol.

 

I doubt it. Pretty sure you can only pick up MPs in America, and I've redeemed for people on the west coast several times (I'm on the east coast). Given that the whole point is sending money to other people far away, this would really surprise me.
