Support, it would be kinda easier to find reason why is someone TWC-ed.

 

I'm saying each user should still be treated cautiously whether they have a TWC or not. If someone has 20 vouches and a TWC, I still am not going to go first if they didn't have the caution rank.

 

I would support this going through. It would just save both traders time. Though I agree that everyone twc or not, should be traded with cautiously.

 

Of course you should still trade cautiously, as you should with anyone over the internet. But I still feel like not all TWC's should be treated as equal. If one member gets 7 reports without sufficient enough proof for a ban, but gets a TWC instead I would treat that as worse than someone who's business partner screwed them over and got placed with a TWC.

 

Pretty much my thoughts as well. If it's a quick change, I think it would be a nice addition. I would prefer it as a UI though; updating ranks every time someone gets a TWC is an unnecessary burden on staff.

 

I'm confused. Wouldn't it actually be more work for UI's? I thought all UI changes had to go through Matthew or some other Admin to get approved. Wouldn't it be easier to have the mod who issued the TWC to simply hyperlink their rank as well (if that's even possible) and not over burden Matthew / upper staff?

 

UT = Username title (the text under the username). UI = Username image (the image that contains ones username, above the UT). Ranks would have to go through Matthew and the UT's would not as myself and FireZ could do those.

However, if a 50$+ donor was TWC'd they'd have to have their UT benefit revoked so they couldn't remove their TWC UT.

I still think that would be well worth it.

If TWC ranks can't be hyperlinked, then I think UT's are a good alternative.

 

I believe it should be posted in their profile why it was put there. Seems like a better option.

 

Yeah, a link to the report thread should be mandatory if the other options are out of question.

TWC reasons are posted in a person's user notes, aren't those visible to everyone?

 

No, it was a delight when I got mod to learn that someone had reported me for scamming through my user notes

I haven't read the whole thread but we have always encouraged users to research before trading. Most TWCs are applied as a result of scam reports, and you should be checking the Report a Scammer section before trading any user... especially a user with a TWC rank.

 

I still don't know where the report is for my twc, I can not find it alot of people don't want to trade me because they think that I scammed.

Hyperlinked TWC's wont happen I don't think - too much work/server access needed.
