    Staff should be forced to deal with so many reports a month.

    There's reports/pardon's that go almost a week without a response, this allows the same user to scam multiple people and is why sythe keeps getting called "scam central". Yes, it's not their fault people don't research who they're trading first, but there's so many times where a mod will look at an appeal, and not even give a reply... this causes pardons/reports to go weeks out and should be handled faster in my opinion. I realize they're volunteer's and don't really get anything out of it, but either way, they need to act in an efficient manner if sythe wants to stay top notch.

    staff have a quota per month that they need to reach, alot of those reports are being figured because the user does not have sufficent evidence. not all reports are easy.


    some require alot of in depth looking into and speculation from others involved also alot of time new evidence comes out all the time.




    You should have really thought about this/ done any research before posting this thread

    I'm missing the problem. What's so difficult about posting they have insufficient evidence and need a Picture of a PM or something simple, don't let people like this go unreplied to.. http://www.sythe.org/report-scammer/1745274-scammmed-destructive.html It looks bad for the forum, if I was a new user and saw a 4 day scam report with 0 replies, i'd be worried. If it's something difficult and takes extensive time to look at or discuss, at least tell them that, not look at their post. and bit the back button.

    You act like i'm saying 100% of all reports go un-replied to. It would be nice for the person in the link I posted to at least get a reply of what they need as additional evidence, or something simple saying they're looking into it with other staff members. a 10 second post goes a long way to make the forum look better and make the staff at least look like they're doing their job at the time. This isn't intended to thrash at the staff members, I know many are busy and do actually do their job. But for posts like that, and many others they just need a quick reply and no report should be needing to be bumped daily to get a reply.. Looks bad.

    Edit: I understand that they have their own free time, but if they read everything and just leave the post, it looks bad. I watch the report a scammer section quite often and always see it happening. Really a 10 second reply would satisfy so many people and make the report section look and function better. It's not asking a lot, if they open it and view it and the user who posted it see's a mod is looking at it and then doesn't reply. It's disheartening and it's really not a difficult change.

    I don't think "Forcing" is the way to go. Staff aren't getting payed for doing their job, and most reports with "Valid" evidence are usually dealt with within a day or so.

    Thanks for your suggestion, as you can see the report has subsequently been dealt with. Reports don't usually sit for too long, and trust me it's been a lot worse in the past. I rarely see RaSc over a page long these days and in the past it has been 3/4 average.

    Just PM a member of staff if you feel one needs urgently dealt with and I'm sure they'll have a look for you.

    also note that staff do not get paid and do this to help the community. It thus may be normal sometimes if they are busy due to their real life commitments so u gotta understand sometimes

    Actually turnaround times aren't terribly bad right now.

    Sometimes there will a more complicated case that no one can be fucked to reply to but after sitting for a while it always ends up getting taken care of.

    I do agree though about staff being more vocal in some reports though. I swear some custom bbc code commands would help so much.

    [sp][/sp] for example could spit out a sentence about including skype proof
    [pk][/pm] for having a valid PM

    I noticed a few times that some reports are dealt with after a while which is a problem, however in most cases the person reporting makes it harder for staff, not following the stickies and all.

    Each staff has their own quota they have to fulfill. In the past there has been times with 5+ pages of scam reports. We generally keep it between 1 - 2 pages.

    Its not that bad... staffs do what they can. They arent paid to do this and we should appreciate what they do to keep Sythe alive.

    Staff do have commitments outside of sythe.

    I feel they do a reasonable job anyway; sure its frustrating watching your post sit there, but as Roary said, just drop them a pm.
