Whats the best free antivirus out there?

Well my antivirus that came with my laptop brand new is about to run out in 2 days, and im still looking for the perfect free antivirus out there anyone know of any good ones that does the job and it's not much of a hassle

avast seems like the best I had it for a while it worked wonders But now I use a paid version of norton 360

 

Windows Security Essentials has one of the worst detection rates compared to any free antivirus. In fact it's so bad that it's used as the baseline for AV-Test.org's statistics.

Kaspersky isn't free.

On the main page just click the button that says "Home User" and you'll get a list of AV software both free and paid, and how they rate in terms of detection, performance, and usability.

According to AV-Test, BitDefender is one of your best options.

 

I personally would go for Malwarebytes Pro. You can get a lifetime subscription to it for like 50 dollars on Newegg.

AVG has always worked for me

 

i like avast never had a issue with it and boot scan is a nice feature

 

I think Avast and AVG are best free Anti-Virus, but I use premium version of the KasperSky internet security, a great tool with many options and control on your system.
