    A Few Updates from PA

    Hey all,

    I know I haven't been around often lately since June, but I plan to get back to engaging you guys. I have a very large backlog of PM's, so those of you who have sent me notes but not received a response, I will go through it all this Sunday :)

    Here are some updates on my end:

    Platform:

    Improved performance. Many of you may have experienced an improved performance of the site. We have successfully upgraded our server solutions to a cloud network, and will also be opening a european server as well later this year.

    Design: We've also updated the homepage with an improved UI design on the front end, as well as upgraded site architecture for faster loading.

    New Products: We've opened up official support for tangible goods trading, and we'll be expanding on it more. Anyone wanting to be early adopters can contact me, I'd be happy to help set you up with upgraded seller accounts. So far, digital game codes and licenses have been performing the best.

    Customer Support:

    Support Outtage: Because of Typhoon Glenda, our CS offices have experienced severe inclement weather which has been disrupting electricity and connectivity this week. I apologize for delays, the storm has passed and we're currently working on our backlog.

    Better tracking: By the end of this month, we'll be rolling out a new support technology which will help us to consolidate tickets, and track customer issues about 100% better than we do now. Give us a month to work out the kinks, and finesse everyone on training. Our agents will carry a lot more responsibility with it, and it should reduce the need for them to escalate issues to other departments (yay)

    Payments & Security:

    Payments: We are going to be opening up a new payment method pretty soon (officially launching) which we are very excited about. Look within the coming weeks at news articles for the announcement.

    Payment Systems: We've deployed a new payments & risk management system into our live environment. This was 8 months in the making for essentially a system to more intelligently track user behavior, purchase history, and cut down on fraud. I'm happy to say that it has been deployed successfully, and has reduced our manual review times by 20%, and our fraud loss rates now below 0.3%.

    Other Announcements:

    This quarter:
    - We'll be making a massive (but subtle) overhaul to the offer listing page system. It will load faster, and provide us with greater tech flexibility to customize individual game marketplaces with more options.

    - We also aim to have an updated "About Us" page so that you can understand a bit more about us, and who some of us crazies are that work at PA (if anyone's interested of course, hah). :cool:

    - Parnterships & Affiliate Program page will be coming this quarter as well. So for any of you interested in making a bit of money on the side, or for those of you who have bigger business ventures in mind, you'll have a place to give us your thoughts and connect.

    Any news with regards to a mobile PA application yet?

    And another thing that's always bothered me personally - why is communication via private messaging limited to only active orders and offers?

    Mobile app we are currently investigating. If you have any recommendations for app developers, I'd appreciate referrals. :)

    The private message limitation is a very very old rule which was put in place to cut down on opportunistic social engineers. Many years ago, we suffered issues with members receiving either tons of spam or phisphing scams, and so we made the cross communication a little more difficult, which has resulted in those negative elements being mostly eliminated. We may revisit this policy. :nuts:

    Well, we are implementing two processors. I wanted to wait for the press release, but since I like Sythe... ;-)

    Coinco for Bitcoin processing
    GoCoin for Litecoin, Dogecoin, and other alt cryptos :)

    The first of which we have been really impressed thus far with the tech and process flow. It is already available now actually, but we haven't fixed the branding for them.

    A few ideas if you want them: -Chat with costumers instead of sending messages. Messages are not instant and it can make deliveries a lot slower.

    -A phone application that does some kind of sound when i receive order

    Adam,

    Chat with customers is something that I have been thinking of. Developing it ourselves means, it would be a very big project with a lot of things to consider. A short cut would mean using a 3rd party tool, but that raises questions additionally of what sort of third party we want to involve.

    Part of the reason why we've never prioritized this is because of our fear of losing sales from scammers trying to solicit offsite trade. We have done a pretty good job of educating our user base about how to protect themselves from social engineering, so perhaps now is a time to see if we want to take that next step?

    Realistically though, the Mobile app would likely come first (and that would likely have a chat feature built in), and then an onsite chat feature next if that ever came about.
