Do I have to use a middleman?

Lets talk about it, lets say person A walks into a bar and tells me I have to use a mm or I get twced. Person B is me and I say no. I get twced.
Thoughts?

 

Refusing a MM by itself isn't a reason for a TWC.

 

But its sketchy as fuck. I mean a MM is a hassle and to maybe being hesitant after trying to get one set up a while is a different story, but no effort and an outright N O is shady as fuck.

If you are legit I just dont see why you would have a reason not to.

Thats not my fault, I have the right to not want to use a mm, for one its time consuming and wastes my money, its like a tip almost, I have no problem with people who don't care about me not using a mm, its just I don't deal with them.

Only OMM's charge, not free MM's, many who are just as "trusted".

Also, you didn't refuse a MM, you just left as soon as he mentioned it.

 

It depends on the situation. In all honesty there is a point where if the trade is small enough it isn't even worth my time to find a mm and waste all the time with that extra step. I can see this being more of a problem with new/untested members because the amount of people willing to scam for $5 is exponentially higher.

 

if u decline to use mm just makes u look sketchy like everyone is saying, if anything have them pay for a omm if they want to use and ur not with using a free mm

 

It looks like he didnt refuse, he just got sick of him, and he didnt even go offline.

 

Using a MM is always necessary epically if you don't know the seller and if they have no vouches and like stated above refusing to use a MM is pretty sketchy and those people should be avoided . Basically if you feel unsure about a buyer or if its to good to be true contact a MM.

MMs are a bitch to deal with and make trades take so much longer than they ordinarily would have, and there are some MMs who charge fees.

 

I almost always refuse a MM. The only time I don't refuse is if it's a large ass trade and I can see the reason why they wouldn't trust me with that amount.

MM's just make things longer and if someone wants a mm for like a 30$ trade, I wont do it.

 

To be honest, I think it should be a reason to TWC I mean there are some new players that joined this forums a couple of days ago that has no vouch and claims they won't use a MM, nor will they go first to you. From what I can see, these situations result in 99.999% chance of that person being a scammer. Now obviously, there are different scenarios.

For example, if I were to trade somebody who joined a couple of days ago and he didn't want to go first. Then only way would be to use a OMM, most of the cases, I would even offer to pay for that OMM. Now if they decline, I think their goal would just be to scam me. I mean I don't even think using a MM is a hassle, instead of doing 20 trades in increment, we can just do 1 trade with the OMM, and in the end I think it saves more time.

Also keep in mind that TWC is not a ban or anything its just something to warn new members or other member that this person might be a scammer. Now by not accepting to use a OMM, even if we agree to pay for that OMM, I think that member does belong in that category.
