Mods and ranks need some serious change in security

I'm saying it's easy to make a second paypal. I have two of them. One of which I rarely use.

 

Access/Own don't make a difference in this case. He could use his cousin's paypal from florida, he doesn't actually have to own 2 paypals, he just has to have access to them.

 

Ok, so the "Hacker" went through the scam report section looked through all the scam reports checked out my name and did cross reference with your skype contact list? It's not like he could've searched the word "Psy" as it's in the skype images. That's a lot of work and a lot of research. When exactly did you lose access to your skype- as in when was the last time you successfully logged in?

 

I really do hope you didn't do it, I'm not trying to go out of my way to get you banned, but you really have not given any proof that you didn't do it. I've seen you around and you've done a lot for Sythe and I know you've handled some reports for me as well. Have you even attempted to recover the email to the skype?

 

This is however, redeeming evidence on leanbean's side. If he actually were planning on faking a Skype hacking, he would probably choose not to put "ALWAYS REQUEST A PM" everywhere that he did eon's prior to his Skype being hacked.

This is another main reason. You're being a douche to the person scammed by your "hacker".

 

Roary, did the paypal he screenshared contain all of his previous transactions for this month? If that not the case then he must have got another PayPal.

 

The hacker could have easily planned this out by seeing our vouches for a $3,500 trade, searched your recently created threads to try and find your skype to add you under an imposter or something, found the report against BasedRS, seen you were an easy target, then began the process of trying to recover my skype account. Once recovered it wouldn't of been very hard for him to find the name "PSY" under my contacts and already know who you were and how you knew me.

 

It's not the matter of getting another paypal. With my bank, I'm allowed to add funds with Paypal. This would be over if he would just remember a simple password for his "throwaway email". I mean, who creates a one time use email for a Skype account when Staff knows that Skypes are one of the easiest things to hack?

 

Read through the posts I made from last night. I may be acting like a "douche" now because i'm sick of people accusing me of something that I know I didn't do after I've already explained myself multiple times.

 

Its not his fault said user didn't request a PM and got scammed.
And now because of it, a large majority of the user base is trying to find holes to "prove lean bean scammed"

Does a moderator have to apologize every time somebody gets scammed by am imposter? No, They're just like "read the stickies" and should be the same situation here.

The rules clearly state "If your Skype (MSN, AIM etc) account is hacked, you will only be responsible if a private message was sent from your Sythe account to confirm this method of communication."

Now ask yourself, was Leanbean901's skype confirmed through PM or was it not? Answer: It was. Nowhere in the rule does it state that the PM must be from that day. A month is really not that long ago. He had already confirmed Leanbean901's skype so he should be refunded.

 

I've shrugged nothing off, but i'm not going to take responsibility for something that wasn't my fault, plain and simple.

 

Wow you're an idiot. You can't "find holes to prove lean bean scammed". What you can prove is that the victim did everything correct by Sythe rules and should be refunded.

LOL so this was an orchestrated hacking, why not put that much effort into a major GOLD seller. You do a good job thinking in terms of the hacker.
