Wtf is happening around the world?

Do you guys even know what a world war is? c.c

World war involves more than just two or three countries in the fight. WWI involved over 30 countries, WWII literally involved the ENTIRE world minus Switzerland, Finnland, Spain and Portugal, and a few middle eastern countries.

Thus far, the only countries who are fighting each other are Israel with Gaza, America with Afghanistan and Iraq (whose fighting has since died down), Russia with Ukraine, and whatever else has fewer than 1000 casualties and can hardly be considered a war. All of these are separate wars too, there is no world war.

 

Bad news is featured more often. I'd say there is an equal amount of good and bad, however most people don't care for the good.

 

Do you really think we are going to see a war like WWII again? The reason is NUKES. After nukes came into play the people in charge stopped asking for full-scale wars as they themselves could be hit with a nuke. If we didn't have nukes then the next WW would most likely have been in the 1970s.

What are you on about? He never said anything about wwIII happening, merely explaining that it is NOT happening now and explaining what a world war was to those who apparently didnt know.

Most people are familiar with MAD (mutally assured destruction).

 

That's why i said i thought it will start.
I'm living in Turkey, so when i thought about it, the situation:

Russia -> Was getting closer to China
UN & USA aganist Russia including Ukraine. As a result, Turkey was having trouble with Syria. So we may add Syria and couple more middle east countries to their sides. If this would happen, it was a 3rd world war, but now, all is stable as it always have been. Muslims are raging terrorism in middle east as always, Filistin and Israel are having a dog fight, other nations are watching it when they are drinking their wine.
All is normal, the tension between 'main' countries are lowered.

Doesn't matter what we'll see or not, I wasn't speculating on what to call any of these wars. My only point is people need to stop calling it "world war III" because we've not come close to ANY sort of world war since the cold war.

 

I'll admit I was a bit worried about what would happen after the plane was shot down over Ukraine.. It seemed as though the world wanted to corner Russia, a wild beast, and a cornered animal may lash out.

 

Apparently there was a missile attack with a school or some type of attack...
Also I dont think were gonna have a WW3, but that doesn't mean we wont have some type of war.

It does seem a little heavier than usual, planes disappearing and dropping.. Wars in Ukraine, Iraq, Syria and Israel/Palestine. I wouldn't be surprised if it escalates further.
